President Hichilema assures people of Masaiti that they will benefit from the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriage way

President Hakainde Hichilema has said the people of Masaiti district will benefit from the construction of the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriage way.

President Hichilema said when the Lusaka- Ndola dual carriageway project commences, the people of Masaiti will be given priority to be employed.

He stated that he will ensure that the local people will be given top priority and be considered for employment during the reconstruction of the road.

President Hichilema has, however, urged the people of Masaiti to work hard and be committed once employed.

He also promised to work on feeder roads in the Lamba land to ease the transportation of farm produce.

The President disclosed that Masaiti district will this year receive farming inputs early before the onset of the rains in the 2023/2024 season.

Mr Hichilema thanked the people of Masaiti for voting for him into power in the 2021 elections.

The President said the task for his government to work for the people so that their concerns are addressed.

He has since declared 2023 as the year of visiting the grassroots to ensure that he gets firsthand information.

  1. There’s no need to assure people about the advantages of having a good road. Everyone wants a to be near a good road. And nobody is against the road: people are against the mode, manner and means which so far are suspicious. It used to take us two hours from Kitwe to Chingola but now it’s less than forty minutes because of the dual carriage way and everyone is happy.

  2. At least this chap can speak to the people
Unlike the past one who sent puppets out
who always brought back glowing reports to please their master

  3. Contractor to o operate and collect toll fees for 24 hours per day for a period of 22 years? This kind of arrangement already seems to be raising dust and it’s likely to raise more dust in the future.

  4. These chaps are funny… the time the Kitwe Chingola dual carriage way was starting they were full of negativities like bushe abantu bakalalye imisebo…. will people eat roads? I’m sure we will eat this one (joke)

Why? This project is for Zambia . Whether you’re from Zambezi, from Mongu, from Lundazi from Isoka from Gwembe if you have the required skills you should be entitled to a job. Even the colonialists were better than HH because my father a boiler maker from Chingola was employed to construct the Kariba dam. Welensky didn’t say jobs are reserved for Ndebeles and Tongas near the river but here comes our black ruler and he wants to discriminate !

  7. Jobs should be for every Zambian. HH should assure all people of the republic that they will benefit from the Lusaka Ndola dual carriageway’s construction.
