Chris Katongo, Chamanga Jet In

Christopher Katongo and James Chamanga are expected to be the first foreign-based players to join the Zambia camp on Sunday in Lusaka.

Zambia regroups tomorrow at Golfview Hotel for the final leg of training camp ahead of their trip to The Comoros on Friday to play their penultimate 2012 Africa Cup Group C qualifier.

Katongo and Chamanga of Chinese clubs Hainan Construction FC and Dailan Sade respectively arrived in the country on Friday.

The duo is part of the 18-foreogn-based contingent Dario Bonetti named to his 24-man team for the September 4 away game.

Meanwhile, Zambia are expected to hold their first training camp on Monday afternoon at Nkoloma Stadium.

  1. The chinese league is pure comedy,so christopher katongo’s career has nose dived. Germany,greece and then china next stop?  haiti.

  2. why is FAZ not sponsoring local coaches and technical staff to under go training in elite european coach academies? tou can see facialy that this bonnetti guy is not organised plus his history of sackings from previous clubs. chipolopolo all the way!!!

  3. The moment FAZ become transparent in its dealings Zambia will send people to be trained in European football academies. I am working and based in Europe and real soccer fun. we need to invest in football not only financially but also human resource
