Nkana coach Linos Makwaza conceded that Zanaco was the better side in the visitors 2-0 away Faz Super Division win on Saturday at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Zanaco went one better than the 1-1 draw they recorded against Nkana at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka on May 7 in a Week 7 game to collect the three points this weekend.
“Zanaco deserved to win,” Makwaza told LT Sports in a post-match interview in Kitwe on Saturday.
“They played better than us. Am disappointed but the league is not over we won’t give up.”
Zanaco coach Wedson Nyirenda whose side moved from 5th to 3rd overnight said the away win was a sign of better things to come from the 2009 league champions.
“It was the sweetest of victories. It is a sign of better things to come and we are in contention to winning the league-we are sure of winning the league,” Nyirenda said.
Zanaco are on 36 points, five less that Power Dynamos and Red Arrows who are locked on 41 points in first and second place respectively.
Meanwhile, Zanaco secured their win thanks to goals from defender Charles Siyingwa and striker Makundika Sakala in the 36th and 81st minutes respectively.
