SOME Church leaders have expressed disappointment at Patriotic Front (PF) president Michael Sata and other opposition party leaders who shunned Sunday’s prayer rally in Lusaka which was organised to pray for Zambia’s peace during the election period.
The Independent Churches of Zambia board chairperson David Masupa said it was unfortunate that Mr Sata snubbed the prayer meeting despite it not being organised by the Government.
“On such an occasion which fosters unity, the opposition political parties should make an effort to attend,” Reverend Masupa said.
The PF leader and United Party for National Development (UPND) president Hakainde Hichilema were conspicuously missing from the event organised by the Council of Churches in Zambia, Zambia Episcopal Conference and Evangelical Fellowship in Zambia and was characterised by messages of peace and unity.
Rev Masupa described the prayer service as historical and necessary as it marked peace for the September 20 elections. “It was a historical event especially the releasing of the doves which signalled peace,” he said.
Rev Masupa appealed to Zambians to make a last-minute assessment on whether the socio-economic development that the country was enjoying could continue under some political leaders who did not show interest in making peace with others.
Council of Churches in Zambia secretary general Suzanne Matale said Zambians should cherish the peace that the country was enjoying by conducting themselves above partisan politics.
Rev Matale said it was unfortunate that some political leaders failed to attend the prayer service although she reiterated that the three Church mother bodies that organised the session at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross achieved their objective.
She said the Church was pleased with the representation from different stakeholders, more so that that all the people in attendance agreed that Zambia would not engage in electoral violence.
“It was unfortunate that some opposition members could not attend the service or at least send a representative because it was a platform for seeking God’s intervention in the electoral violence that has been rearing its ugly head,” Rev Matale said.
Meanwhile, Calvary Church Pentecostal Assemblies of God (Zambia) in Livingstone yesterday conducted prayers for peace and re-committed Zambia to God as the country holds the tripartite elections next week.
Leading the prayer meeting, Copperbelt Province-based cleric Bernard Nwaka prayed for peace to prevail in the country, saying Zambia should move forward after the elections.
Dr Nwaka, who is Living Water Global Ministries International overseer in Kitwe, said this under his sermon titled ‘Let’s not sow seeds of hatred which would affect the future generations’.
“We don’t want bloodshed in this country. If we understand the teachings of the Bible, we shall be less careless in what we say. “Whoever takes over the country as president should take the spirit of reconciliation. We pray that the president to be elected shall only choose men and women of integrity who are qualified and chosen by God,” he said.
Southern Province Permanent Secretary Gladys Kristafor, Livingstone Town Clerk Vivian Chikoti, former Information minister Stan Kristafor, provincial defence and security chiefs as well as some Livingstone residents participated in the prayer meeting.
[Times of Zambia]
I bet they were not invited! I understand a special invitation was sent to state house only!
Look church leaders should be very careful and not to say certain things that injure others attending a prayer rally in itself doesn’t mean that you are born again. They should find out why those leaders didn’t attend and they shouldbe careful or else they seem to be siding with the ruling party.
The same Masupa has been demonizing the opposition leaders in preference to his financier RB. How do you expect them to put up face?
When love is mutual its a relationship, when its not its a relationshit. Why wonder they didn’t come when clearly their priorities of getting elected outrank the needs of mother Zambia?
Hypocrites!!!! did you go there to pray or to register your attendance?? all you can do is pray for them, that’s your call as church leaders.
You can not force people to attend church, it is suppose to be a personal conviction….did William Banda? this chap needs prayers…
Did William Banda attend?
Prayers or no Prayers Banda must go….period. Banda goes both to the mosique and church…very funny.

Some church leaders like Masupa are annointed to worship where money and corruption and untruthfullness is orginating from.
It is a known fact and truth ,even GOD knows ,that MMD is the brewer of violence and all kinds of social and economical evils including brown envelopes. BUT Masupa is looking the other side.
IT IS BIBLICALLY TRUE AND PROVED THAT THE DEVIL WILL USE HIS AGENTS TO TORMENT AND DESTROY THE INNOCENT. HH has been and is still campaigning peacefully and appealing to Zambians to be ONE and not be divided by tribal BECAUSE GOD chose who we are we didnt not.
MMD STARTS AND SUPPORTS VIOLENCE,PF REACTS TO MMD’S VIOLENCE.
UPND IS NOT INVOLVED BUT THE DEVIL’S AGENTS ALWAYS SAYS-ALL PARTIES OR OPPOSITION PARTIES CONDEMN STOP AND CONDEMN VIOLENCE(INCLUDING THE INNOCENT UPND).
What do you expect from Satanist and Hhypocrites? No wonder I dont doubt that Mr. Banda will emerge victoriuos because God loves Zambia…come 21st MMD shall be celebrating there victory..Sata was avoiding another hiccup like it was when he entered Christian Voice studios..
pipo pipo lets not point fingers we shd pray for peace in our country for God to chose a leader for us who will understand our problems God nos best which ever leader wins these election it will be God choosen rememeber he says everything happens for a reason we shd all pray to him coz he nos best.
RUPIAH BANDA MUST GO TO THE MOSQUE AND NOT CHURCH.
CHURCH IS PERSONAL CONVICTION. NOT JUST TAKING YOUR FACE. I GUESS HH AND SATA ARE PRAYING FOR PEACE IN THEIR HEARTS.
God does not reside at Cathederal of the Holy Cross..! You can pray anywhere and God will answer you coz He’s omnipresent. Those condemning HH and SATA are hypocrites>>
Where two or more people agree on one thing, God will do it.
REV.MASUPA WENT TO THE CATHEDRAL NOT TO PRAY FOR PEACE BUT TO CAMPAIGN FOR MMD.THE PROBLEM WITH SOME CHURCH LEADERS IS THAT THEY FEED AND SURVIVE ON BOOTLICKING OF PEOPLE IN POWER AND THEY ALSO SURVIVE ON THE POOR SHEEP OF GOD .MASUPA A CLASSIC EXAMPLE.
But MONEY BANDA was not there too,. you hippos!
Unfortunately, this iz how much some men/women of the pulpit have been compromized. Intead of preaching the word, they are buzy looking at who hazn’t come and the effect that would have on the offering bowl. Thou shall not conduct “window dressing” prayerz.
SATA attended mass at Ibenga mission..What’s the big fuss about CHC(catederal of the Holy Cross)?
#3 Enka Rasha, you are MMD voter and but lack the knowledge of GOD but have 100% knowledge and the heart of the Devil. If not so explain the MMD insitigated violence in the name of BOMA NI BOMA under the leadership of William Banda with the THE CHIEF COMMANDER OF ALL THE ZAMBIAN FORCES, GIVING SUPPORT, PROTECTION, PRVENTION FROM ARREST AND PROSECUTION TO HIM.
Im a bit confused here because it seems even RB did not attend. So what exactly is there point becuase I seem to have surely missed it!!
Do as they say not as they do? We have lost confidence in the government systems and will not attend gatherings where there equally invited.
Yes, church is a personal conviction. But as national leaders, they should be above politics when it comes to things of God. They must have the interest of the nation (peace) at heart. Is that too much to ask from them? I mean, the father of the nation, Kaunda, attended. Are they bigger than him? Definitely not.Kaunda was there because he has the interest of the nation (peace) at heart. These guys were invited but they took personal interests first, woe unto them! Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness, and then everything will be handed unto you in return, that’s what the Bible says, no shortcut.
It’s NOT everyone who is a Christian.
Prayer can be made anywhere for any purpose. Actually Jesus condemned the pharisees who paraded themselves when praying for people to see.
Unity in ERROR….
RB attended.Kaponyas you will realise the mighty of God when you lose elections
Zambian politicians are really a disgrace they can never work together never meet in one room without exchanging words .shunning prayers ,shunning debates kaya mwe its for that reason with selfishness that will make them fail to move the MMD from power HH and SATA
Rev. masupa ur an MMD chap just hearing you say that Zambians shud make a last-minute assessment on whether the socio-economic development that the country was enjoying could continue under some political leaders who did not show interest in making peace with others.this statement alone makes your charater questionable, if ur able to see development does not mean evry 1 is seeing it shame on you, what type of a man of god are you? just preach peace if u want respect from people & enjoy the money ur getting from MMD ur a cadre & not a man of God.
this is some cheap s**t, how does this so-called man of God speak so immaturely, Going for prayers should not be a forcing matter. The best prayers are those that are done in privacy not for the media to capture you.
as a matter of fact people should have been praying all along not just at the last minute, hopeless job seekers.Muzungu ani konde…
Freakin hypocrites! Why should Sata or HH attend these prayers when everybody knows that RB is there for window dressing only. He keeps on excluding all others from the public media, which in itself is a source of conflict and his cadres keep on harrasing innocent people or simply people with different political opinion. I say, just sharpen your pangas and brace youselves for what is to occur, for if you don’t defend yourselves, you will be killed in your homes. Remember, the Great Bob Marley once said, “He who fights and run away, lives to fight another day”
Satan is scared of prayers…nafuti nafuti
Mwanya ba makaka …mule fumapo!!!
Time is up for MMD
RB attended the prayer meeting he sat next to KK and Gen Miyanda I saw Maj Kachingwe too and the Vatican Ambassador to Zambia. Most likely it was expensive for Mr. Sata to fly all the way to Lusaka and Back to the election trail in Kafulafuta so if he prayed on his own thats okay. Sata didnt attend the Mulungushi sponsored presidential debate as well and I suppose RB wont attend todays seing he is in Northern Province or is it Eastern? Let the best candidate win.
A very interesting article from the Daily Mail, Rupia did not attend the so called prayer meeting I think he must bear the greater blame than his opposition counterparts what is wrong with the Daily Mail no wonder I do not buy that stu.pid paper, I am angered because it uses my money for its operation costs, How annoying!
Ama Satanists and Freemasons dont attend church naimwe ba pastor.
Nga ma muslims?
Lets be reasonable people, prayer can be done from anywhere and this is not the last gathering to pray for elections. are you telling me someone with a prog already should cancel whatever it is they are doing to come back to Lusaka for this specific call then go back to mongu, chipata, monze, kasama, mpika etc to continue where they left off? Even God would wonder if he did the right thing with your brain. Prayer is the most personal of all relationships and CHC is just a place otherwise the heart is the real house of the Lord.
Its not looking good for PF why shun a unity prayer meeting. This party advocates violence, lies(thru their vuvuzela Post newspaper) it would be a great tragedy should PF win elections.Lets pray that they don’t win.
who can trust in Zambia today, politicians have failed us all and now even pastors have joined in failing us and God they claim to worship. help us God!
For your own information, our presido Mr. Sata attended mass at Ibenga before a mamoth rally in Mponwe. Were those prayers targeted at Sate or HH?. Please give Sata a break, he is a true man of God. Whether prayers or no prayers from those complaining, we are busy praying for Sata to go to state house next week. Just pray for him as well if you are true christians and stop comlpaining.
Maybe those who prayed in the privacy of their homes, prayed more meaningfully than some of those Pharisees who went to register their presence at the Cathedral.
RB attended the but he was fast azzzzzleep during the prayers!!
Am not amused that RBish attended, the temprature at plot 1 has risen to alarming levels such that he needs other places to harbour. The other reason is that RBish has no church and thinks by attending that prayer rally would win simpathy for votes, KUYA BEBELE.
WHAT BLOODSHED??????? Problem is these hungry and money seeking preachers want to alarm people with their weird thoughts. REMEMBER Nevers Mumba and what he ‘prophesied’ that if UNIP lost elections there would be BLOODSHED. Where is it and in which party is he now???? Double tongued preachers, They said “Zambia shall be saved”, has it been??? and from what??? Just ask for money from Lupiya Banda instead of hiding in the so called ‘prayer rallies tanishing the Holy Name of our Sovereign God.
Iwe ulu mwaume!!! These so called pastors are becoming a problem!!!
Spot on mate. I have gone back home and wondered which church to go on a Sunday. Sad but true, 90% Pastor are in there for a living. This is what poverty can do.
RB IS A MOSLEM, THATS PRETENCE, HAVE UYOU FORGOTEN THE PLOTS HE IS GIVING TO BUILD MOSQUES….KUYABEBELE….
I guess we have had peace for a long time without justice. We do not need peace BUTjustice as Zambians. I would join a prayer meeting that seeks justice and not merely peace. Whta can Rupia tell God? About his corrupt behavoir? Nepotism? i HOPE gOD WILL ANSWER MY PRAYERS off your prayer meetings!
@39 Temfwe Temfwe…nice one..these chaps when they are block, they just hulucinate like dogs, They didnt say anything about the mosque/moslem issue…basakala…pocket pastors, real pastors dont even comment…just pray for the nation
I think a critical analysis has to be conducted here, I doubt it if it was indeed the church that slamed HH and Sata, we are forgeting the real demon behind all these reports,…….its all LT tricks to discredit the opposition?
Sometimes when I read what ever people write about their prefered presidents I get very sad. Imagine how many people read what we write? I am sure its not only Zambias but even people all over the world and then we start celebrating when we hear that this president is unwell, It is un Zambian to celebrate when one is unwell or dies. So for the people who wish some of these presidents to die please think about it and just imagine it was your father, uncle or son, how would you feel when people wish you death or to be unwell?
Again, I also get scared when I hear people say even when one is unwell or died we will still vote for him or her. I do not know what other people think about us in terms of thinking capacity. So Zambians, lets avoid stigimasation of the sick. Vote wisely
[-(
Iwe ZAMBIAN #23, God does not give power to the corrupt and oppressors. For a fact, even in 2008 MMD stole votes from Sata and PF. This time around God has opened the eyes of our hearts and He will not let RB and MMD to continue in power after 20th September 2011. Mark these words..
Dema REVERAND fi di DOLLARS only, complain abot who cyaan nuh attend di service fi wah?, you ***** cadre. But any way it takes a real man to criticise a fellow man ,and you”, u lack dat ,so watch your damn mouth,WAUMFWA gold digger.
I blame Nevers Mumba for misleading all these *****s! They all now think it is the way to start.
Dat buombo claat #23,who you tink u cyaan call(kaponya)?nuh wi PF” but ya ***** man acting like one WHO wah born wen it did too dark. You know who dat mi chat abot,di one summoned a while back.DEMA PONK ASS NIGGAS CHAT TOO MUCH ,YAH?
Wina azalila
Bwana Masupa thou shall not judge, but you are forcing people to judge, and I quote “Rev Masupa appealed to Zambians to make a last-minute assessment on whether the socio-economic development that the country was enjoying could continue under some political leaders who did not show interest in making peace with others”. Shame on you!
I WONDER WHY THEY SHOULD TALK ABOUT SATA AND HH NOT ATTENDING PRAYERS. PRAYERS ARE NOT A FORCING MATTER.
Amen Brother, I agree with u.
Love Chali
It matters less whether Bo Serpent or HH attended or not. What matters is come election day, God’s Will will be done! Hypocrites may have been in attendance just as some hypocrites shunned the meeting!
RB nafuti-nafuti! Thanks RB with your hard-working Government! Let those who do not go to church loaf! Is it our fault? Who knows whether they are muslims or bhudists
Well! well tell them. Rev Musupa, are you serious with national issues or your pockets are also meant for your family. Judge not man of God
UBISANJI MAMBALA
Dear Country men and women.
If one does not attend a gathering organised for any occassion, it is not a crime. We must consider that there is time for everything. “The Lord warns, Touch not my anointed”. But some stance taken by “The anointed” is questionable. They have taken sides. Those preaching peace should promote peace and not speak negatively about another person or organisation. Do not be biased/take sides. Instead preach Love and unity. Holiness and Godliness. If i may ask. Was a roll call conducted to ascertain that so and so did not attend.? Even from our closets we are praying and will forever be. God bless Zambia – Glory be to GOD
Whats the fuss about attending church, they are busy campaigning.
I watched the sham event on TV. The whole charade was masked to promote MMD. Opporsition leaders present were not even acknowledged. Some speeches had veiled messages aimed at ostracising opposition and promoting the ruling party candidate. The speech from the Chief was horribly twisted. The chief terrorist attempted to go to the podium to be prayed for. Miyanda criticised the whole thing as a sham.
Amazing. A few weeks ago, violence broke ot in England and the streets were set ablaze by irrate youths and others who were down right criminals. The Prime Minister David Cameron went public not just to denounce the violence but issued tough statements waarning perpetrators and promising the strong arms of the law would take no prisoners in administering justice to restore order to a usually peaceful country. Today Zambia cannot be said to be said to be in its usual peaceful state. All our president has done is isssue silly and soft statements prodding Zambians to maintain peace.FANCY THAT!Right under his nose one W Banda is busy maiming people and all u do is tell Zambians to maintain peace?Besides who cares if the perpetrators were from opposition?
Every well meaning Zambian cannot support vilence but the situation does not get better when yo commander in chief plays cat and mouse with opposition while failing to come down heavily on the real culprits. I belevie in the power of prayer to change situations as a result of God’s intervention. But I also know that we cannot hide in the pretext of being saints while we refuse to do what is expected. of us. I just wonder if someone may have found this meeting unusual and instead decided to do other but more practical things.
Country men, even the bible says that when u r about to offer a sacrifice and there u rememsber u have wronged someon, put i aside and go and make things right with uch a person. We cannot deceive ouselves. We need to play fair everytime we have the opportunity to serve others. Ironically, if we decide to act otherwise it actually God who moves on behalf of his people to save them from calous hearts. May God have mercy on this us all.
20th September, Vote wisely. Take time to think how this nation will be ruled. Your vote, my vote determines who goes to parliament and state house. Woe unto those that eat after five years. They are reaping for a while, after 20/09/11 – the person who seems to love you wont have time for you. Tho he/she will come back in 2016 to lobby and tell you of how and will be done for you. “Every spirit must be teste”. Be weary and vote wisely
There would have been no opportunity for SATAn to do some grandstanding as he did at Bishop Duffy’s funeral in Mongu. He has realised that the house of God is not for his foul breath and serpentine manners. As for HH, he is just selfish. He was probably counting his money and cows.
Whatever the motive for assembling in GOD’S name,GOD does not justify His alter or pulpit to be used by the JUDAS ISCARIOT who call upon HIS name for the sake of SILVER.Neiter does GOD allow or justify His holy place to be used to peddle hatred, biased used of His word and time to crucify another brother as less Holy than thyself for ill conceived political agenda. HH,RB,SATA,MASUPA OR indeed any other person is nothing to me if he uses GOD’s time, occasion, office, power, wealth and man for the sake of driving hatred, tribalism and pitting brother against brother for SILVER OR FAVOURS.
Sata does not believe in God going by his stance on homosexuality. I dont know why HH never attended.
The Likes of Rev. Masumpa who are castigating HH and Sata for not attending the prayers. The two politicians are working against all odds whilst RB can afford use of govt resources at will. Mind you the votes which the badly needs will not come from attending the prayer service at the Cathedoral of the Holy Cross but from across the country. I am sure even if their were not in attendance they got the message loud and clear from the various churches who organised the function. HH & Sata are in for it any miscalculation will be disasterous for them. Lets look at their circumstances critically the two men are smelling power. I am certain their got the message loud and clear. There are public debates on MUVITV I dont see how RB or Sata will appear when the main battle is in the field.
Was it important for HH, Sata & RB to change their programs to attend this mass? I don’t think so, besides the knuckle throwers themselves attended the mass.
#66 you are telling lies. Sata is a Catholic and happily married with well mannered children. Can you tell us which Church your RB belongs to. Thandiwe confirmed that RB is not a christian for your own infor.
ZAMBIAN #23, you are evil, you portray behavior of a kaponya yourself. Don’t play with God as hypocrisy can lead to tragic consequences. You cannot condemn Sata and HH just because RB attended, it is his own call and these are pretenders that seek god at the last minute. Similarly to what they are doing with the so-called developments.
Why fatten a Pig on a market day??? Sata and other pray and god will answer their prayers. Some of these Church leaders are doing this for their own personal gain. To hell with you one-sided opinions and don’t use the name ZAMBIAN. Call yourself Move – Matako – Dora. MMD.
I am surprised the churches have not said anything about Dora siliya undressing her husband in public. Sata is unlucky, he is blamed for not attending functions and when he does he scandalised for trying for example shake hands with the priest.
# 66 Objective: You sound Gay yourself, as people who talk a lot about such are the ones in Denial. Ngati Bamu fwasani just keep quite and enjoy the D.I..C.K.S than accuse SATA.
Your Homosexual proper gander will not work, people are now smart in Zambia.. they know what it means?? VIVA Cobra. Dochi Kubeba????
JUST TELL US YOU WERE EXPECTING K4.6 BILLION AS TITHE FROM HH. IF GOD ANSWERED THOSE PRAYERS, THERE WILL STILL BE PEACE IN ZAMBIA WHETHER SATA AND HH ATTENDED OR NOT. LET THEM FINISH INSULTING EACH OTHER ON RALLIES AND THEN INVITE THEM FOR REPENTANCE NOT INVITING THEM FOR CHURCH AND IMMEDIATELY GO BACK TO THE INSULTS FIELD AFTER CHURCH. SHAAAA
Those attending pray meetings are in the forefront promoting VIOLENCE. eg RB
I’m happy to note that PF supporters like # 6 are asking whether William Banda attended or not. To me this implies that they equate their leader Sata to William Banda. I think this is an insult to William Banda !!!!
PF bloggers have done this all year round. They defend their leaders from without and when those leaders clarify issues to the contrary, they simply disappear from the blog and go into hibernation until the heat is off, and then start all over again. Remember their stand on UNIPists? The PF bloggers were stunned when Guy Scott clarified that actually PF was using a UNIP One Party State constitution and that it would only be changed at the next General Conference of PF. Wow! was that a bombshell! The few honest PF bloggers like Msana Wanzili have since disappeared from LT completely, maybe even crossed over to otehr parties.
It’s irresponsible reporting the devil will never win by 55%
The devil is you. There is nothing wrong with Sata winning by 55%, there is time for everything, time to be in state house and time to vacate the state house. No one knew that KK, FTJ, Levy and RB will be presidents and non of them was perfect. If it’s God will that Sata should be president of Zambia in 2011, no one will say no. Sata is also a human being just like the other past presidents
Two hands working are surely better than a thousand hands clasped in prayer! Fake churches and pastors to hell with you!
This service shud have been held on Sunday,18th when the campaigns stop. You expect someone campaigning in Shangombo on saturday to come back to lusaka on Sunday for a service and go back to Sinjembela on Monday ? poor planning!
That is why as a Church we are misleading people. When you want to pray for the peace of the Country as a Church, you do not need the presence of political party leaders. Political party leaders do not form the citizenry in a country. The entire population forms that. The Church was praying for peaceful elections and not for contestants. I find it very strange to now blame leaders who did not attend. Whom where you praying for? The Country or Leaders. Let us target issues properly as a Church to reflect impartiality. Worse still, instead as a church to forgive those who did not attend, we are busy issuing negative and in sighting statements to the public. Where is the Love of God that should come out of the Church?
YOU DON’T FORCE AN INDIVIDUAL TO ATTEND CHURCH, DO YOU?? OR IS IT THAT YOU JUST WANTED TO SEE SATA IN YOUR MIDST????……..YOU’LL SEE HIM AT THE SWEARING IN CEREMONY AT SUPREME COURT IN LESS THAN 10 DAYS…..BOLA PANSHI……..SATA HAS A TIGHT CAMPAIGN SCHEDULE AND YOU CAN’T JUST SUMMON HIM JUST LIKE THAT……ANY WAY, THANKS FOR THE PRAYERS………. BY THE WAY WE KNOW THAT DR NWAKA IS AN MMD SYMPATHISER……..
#70, My dear am also surprised, these pastors are bootlickers am telling you. Not even one pastor or NGO has criticized Dora’s behaviour in Eastern Province but very quick to castigate Sata for not attending church service and yet he attended Mass in Ibenga. Ba pastor bansala, Dora was busy undressing the ex husband and herself in front of those villagers but they can’t comment becoz they afraid that RB won’t give them cash. Was that church service for Sata and HH?
CAN YOU FORCE SOMEONE TO PRAY.NO.IT HAS TO COME FROM HIS HEART.SATA WAS ATTENDING A CHURCH SERVICE IN ANOTHER CHURCH THEIR IS NO PROBLEM FOR THAT. GOD IS FAITHFUL HE DOES NOT LOOK AT THE CHURCHES OR ANY BUILDING PACT WITH CORRUPTION AND AN CARING LEADERS BUT THOSE WHO HAVE HEART FOR WIDOWS AND POOR.CHURCHES PRAY FOR THE NATION AND PEACE TO PREVAIL YOU ARE NOT GOD TO JUDGE.
Just pray for peace but do not force others to attend your meetings. People are busy campaigning in other parts of the country and you expected them to go to Lusaka when you did not send helicopters to take them there? These clergymen are thieves, liars, bootlickers of MMD and most of them will not go to heaven if they do not change their ways. They love money more than they love other human beings. They believe in pomp and splendor at the expense of prayers.
Hustlers pretending to be men of God, just drop the act and join your brother in the game Nevers Mumba, he has shown you the way. I hate these crackheads who are bleeding poor Zambians of their hard earned money while pretending to be Pastors or evangelists.
#79, John
Very well said and good observation. Nice!
MMD diaspora supporters, can you tell me why the majority of bloggers are in the diaspora? Because they have run away from underdevelopment in Zambia where the majority can not even afford the internet due to untold poverty. Another reason to change the government.
the church is nothang n prayers n god wont do crap 4 zambia..bt a great mind will.
SATA IS ALWAYS IN CATHOLIC CHURCH……how about HH? RB is Muslim……
# 79 JOHN, thank you well said you have actually said everything on my behalf and to every person who reason properly. And # 86 pure zambian good observation about MMD diaspora cadres. MMD diaspora cadres if they like MMD governance for 20 years why are they in diaspora? You pray for peace in the country, you DONT pray for political parties or political contenders, so its not necessary whether Sata and HH were there or not. All we need to preach about is peace in our country period.
RB could have attended but that does not mean a thing because he is not a christian anyway. Listern to him speak. I think he is a buddist, moslem or something like that. These Church Leader should have led him to the saving knogledge of the Lord Jesus Christ instead of letting him just sleep in Church.
why only mentioning sata and hh, tourist banda was not present too, lt, improve, dont be so cheap in your own proffesion. kwati fya ukubuta!! SHAME ON YOU LT
Country men & women, let us be fair to Sata and HH for their failure to attend a well publicized Prayer Service. Both UPND and PF are panicking trying to pick a few stray votes country-wide. As for Sata he has no formula on how to deceive the people of Luapula to tell them how he loved FTJ Chiluba to the extent that he was in a comma on the day FTJ was burried. Even the POst is finding it difficult to report an successes in Sata’s trails of deception (ubufi). HH is now resorting to wooing civil servants with promises to peg a minimum monthly wage of K5Million. HH knows that civil servants of all tribes reside in other provinces in which he has staged campaigns.
Church should not have a register of attendance but HEARTS that are truly seeking after God, not everyone who says Lord, Lord shall enter the kingdom of God.
God always looks at the heart and not at anyone’s outward show of righteousness.
BORING…..U CAN’T PRAY WITHOUT SATA,WHAT WRONG WITH YR THINKIN?GET WISE PIPO.
THE REAL ISSUE IS THE FAILURE BY RB AND SATA TO ATTEND PUBLIC INTERVIEWS FOR PLOT# 1 WHICH WERE BEING COVERED LIVE BY MUVI TV AT MULUNGUSHI LAST NIGHT…. HOW DO YOU GET A JOB AFTER FAILING TO ATTEND THE INTERVIEW……
let me teach you pastors that at the time of judgement no one will represent the other it will be on your on so why supporting RB who was just represented.you are just showing yourselves how hipocrit you are. your speeches just shows that you are for money and not for God`s peace in Zambia.Haaaa!!!!!!!!
yaba..these churches..there will be peace..its only the pf cadres who want to threaten you..but the good thing is they are losing…
just hope and pray future generations will live to see the peacefull and beautiful zambia … really fellow zambians is this what we have cum to calling each other names … remember that god is the giver of justice and not any human being … culture , race , creed , tribe does not matter to god and believe me all great countries have been built on ethic groups look at america … vote 4 a leader who will make u proud and not embarass u … wen we came into dis world we came crying and everybody was happy .. live in such a way that wen we leave everybody is crying and we are laughing
