Zambia Thump India

Share

Herve Renard made it two-out-of-two wins in India after beating India 5-0 today in their second and final friendly match in Goa.

Zambia took a 1-0 lead into the break through Jimmy Chisenga who found the target in the 15th minute.

It was a certainly a good day for Red Arrows players on Tuesday after Chisenga’s club mate Bruce Musakanya scored a hat trick.

Musakanya’s three goals came after Power Dynamos midfielder Joseph Sitali scored the second goal in the 55th minute.

Musakanya then scored two quick-fire goals in the 70th and 71st minute before finishing off India with his third in the 90th minute.

Zambia on Saturday defeated Goa-Select 4-1 at the same venue in their opening friendly match of their one-week training camp in India.

The team returns home on Thursday morning.

  1. Well done Zambia keep it up.Nigeria were lucky.Lets keep up momentum as we march to victory in January 2012 Gabon-Equatorial Guinea where we hope to lift trophy the following month when tourney concludes.GO ZAMBIA GO !!!!.

  2. No 5 But Kwena, we did well! Even beating India, next we need to play Pakistan, Sri Lanka, New Zealand and even Tonga! Once we measure well against the small teams then we move to the big ones! Panono panono!

  3. Mushota is right. Why celebrate after beating India of all the teams in this world. Maybe we could celebrate if we hammer them in cricket or something similar. Keep it up Mushota you make some of us crack our ribs. Maybe I am just commenting from without; what game is this anyhow. Its not mentioned what game we were playing against India. I end here!

  4. Honestly, its progress but we can not celebrate a win over india in soccer. If it was cricket Yes we would have coz to celebrate. but ka mushota u truly love the attension, naku sabaila kwati li ule pa bwalwa. can someone bewitch yo connectivity.

  6. We won and they complain, I wonder wat wud happen if we lost. Beside going to india who did u expect to play? Spain? Just shut up if u cant support the team.

  7. If i catch the reporter of this article you are going to see what i am going to do to him/her. Stop reporting this Indian tourism. Let those guys come back home there is no football in India.

  8. If the boys did well in the friendly match its okay to celebrate small accomplishments. All they hear most of the time is criticism. Let them build confidence and move up. They should not relax, they should continue to work hard, and beat every team along the way. This is how to do it. Go Zambia go!!!!!!!!!!!1

  9. Guys, this news is positive. For those of you that have a good memory, this is exactly how Renard built a strong team last time. He was always camped up in DRC having friendlies with clubs, Lubumbashi select, and the DRC national team. As a result he was able to bring up new talent. I am happy with what Renard is doing–revealing new talent. I just hope this meddlesome govt will not screw up this time around. We need some more small teams opposition. Step by step! Go Renard! Go Zambia!

  10. there is no football in India. How else does Zambia score 9 goals in two matches? This was a waste of time. South africa will sort us out next.

  11. Oh please, India does not even qualify for Asian games. We should have beaten them 10-0 just in the first half. Let chipolopolo go to Brazil. A high school team there would show them how football is played. India is a cheap campaign…grow up Zambia. What you did is a waste of money. Such kind of decisions are costly. It is like Ali fighting Lottie Mwale and America being proud to have defeated Zambia. This is a mismatch.

  12. Ba Nduma(14) what confidence are you talking about? Its like you beating up a 10 year old and calling it a confidence building warm up to fight the neighborhood bully who is 2 times bigger than you. Its the same reason why Zambia does not perform when thrown into a pot full of big teams.

  13. Yaba..,. 5-0, 4-1, 10-1, 100-0.who cares?India is on the bottom 3 on FIFA rankings. Kalu should get serious with CAN preparations. Renard is no match for Bonneti. Italians are better coaches. Take a look @ Mancini(Man City coach), Trapatoni (Rep Of Ireland coach), Fabio (England coach).

  14. Alakwena ba couch why ku India? Indians makula! Zambia need to play big teams rather going for weak countries. Yeah, there’s no challenge playing India but as we all know football kuIndia is not as strongs as other European countries. We needed to camp for instance in German were bola is very strong. In this way our boys will develop amaskills not kapenta. Anyways good job ba Zambia.

  15. ok..wat next..? a stop over and playing some select group of fishermen on one of the islands on the indian oceans???..great plans against senegal and libya..

  16. thanks #28.Great blog and useful videos. I think this is good exposure for young upcoming players. They seemed quite confident and good passing play. But there has to be stronger opposition in future friendlies. India are good at cricket not soccer. As someone suggested lets play angola or any other regional teams that give us a big headache. especially north and west african teams. Thats formidable opposition.
