Allegations made by Sata are false and unfounded- Mulasikwanda

Share

Barotse Freedom Movement (BFM) National Secretary Chazele Mulasikwanda has described allegations labeled against him by Republican President Michael Sata that he (Mulasikwanda) was inciting hatred among chiefs in North-Western Province as false and unfounded.

Mr. Mulasikwanda said the warning given by President Sata of him being a tribalist was unfair to him.

In an interview in Mongu yesterday, Mulasikwanda stated that those tarnishing his name by giving the head of state ill information just wanted high positions in the (PF) government.

Mulasikwanda said that he encouraged all the Youth of Barotse Freedom Movement (BFM) to rally and campaign for President Sata in the just ended tripartite elections, so that he could win elections. He said that the same votes contributed towards Sata’s victory as fifth republican president of Zambia.

[pullquote]If I were a tribalist, I wouldn’t have encouraged Barotse activists to vote for Sata[/pullquote]

“If I was a tribalist, I wouldn’t have encouraged the youth to vote for a Bemba man as president of this country because he is not from Western Province.”
Mulasikwanda further refuted allegations that he wrote a circular that addressed all government heads of department calling them to attend a meeting.

Last week, a letter purported to have been written and signed by Mr. Mulasikwanda circulated in all government offices in Mongu district.

Meanwhile, Western Province Police Commanding Officer Fanwell Siandenge said Police summoned Mr. Mulasikwanda at the station

Mr. Siandenge said he had a closed door meeting with Mulasikwanda which lasted for almost an hour.

“He was shown and told to read the letters which were circulating in government offices last week, but he denied having participated in the writing of the same.He said there are other people who forged his signature so that they put his name in disrepute,” said Siandenge.

Mr. Siandenge however, said investigations on the matter were still going on.

    • Ba hh dont insult the president. If you personally hate know the he is the head of state. It does not mean that when you stay in Europe you have the powers to insult your president. You will still come back we will see you here. So watch you language.

  1. Ukaziputa nzimu limba ! As head of state one is bound to face so many chalenges; insults, being called names, and so on. But a forward looking leader will pay attention to the set goals and will not be distracted by things he hears otherwise time will be wasted. What we are seeing coming from the president is too childish and this is not what the electorate expect.we are wxpecting more money in the pocket. That is all. But holy faza walya sees all sense in his uncle president.

  2. ba president bachilamo kwena with very useless issues. kwena. very immature following up emotionally on any small issue that comes. why can’t he focus on matters of the auditor’s report. it seems ba president is still at state house worried about small matters rather than solving national matters.

    • Useless?? wat do u call the EVIDENCE levelled against the accused man??? i mean there are incriminating letters with his signature on them caarying with them treasonable information!!!

    • BOMA IN BOMA wrong thinking and beliefs all together. Its not democracy. It must be BOMA for the people and by the people.BOMA IN BOMA mentality imposes issues on people no wonder we have this propaganda of lies in the country meant to creat negative perception in the minds of the people.

  3. A kaponya for a president, what do you expect? Shame on Zambians ….. You embarass yourselves everyday Sata speaks. By the way, your currency in FAKE … thats from your president.

  4. Don’t worry Mr.Mulasikwanda,Zambians know better than to trust anything President Sata says. Its obvious to everyone who the tribalist really is.Its so amazing that in less than 90days tribalism is so rampant in high offices in Zambia.KK worked so hard to create One Zambia One Nation and in less than 90days someone has fragmented the nation on tribal lines.

  5. @ FELIGO1

There are people that can be helped. Sata has dictatorial tendency that he even pays his state bills, for the whole of a president queueing at the cashier in L/stone. And he is not A man of the people, his party are used, he’s the GRZ spokesperson, Judge, Police investigator, Bank Governor, etc. And the most embarassing the lead kachepa … all rumors come from plot#1. This is as a result of voting out of anger by Zambians, Sata had no plan of governing the nation. Being in opposition for a long time, he still castigates MMD from the seat of power, strange!

  6. Sata’s pettiness is really hitting a lunatic level, next time you will hear him calling either GBM or Givens to order for failing *****at the National Assembly Motel. Further, he should restore the Barotseland Agreement within the 90 days he promised. If he thinks people will sit on their laurels watching him renage on his electoral promises, he should brace himself doe a tsunamic reaction. Sometimes you honestly wonder whether this Sata man is on drugs to be so lunatical or it’s just a gift he is endowed with from God! It says a lot too about Zambians electing a clearly senile **** like Sata for president.

  7. One Zambia, One Nation!

May be we need the kind of approach Kaunda had! Stu-pid i-d-iot sit down sit down!

  8. atleast for the past three to four days no accusations.Has Dr Kaseba given him some sleeping dose or he is practising how to behave among other leaders in Uganda.

  9. We love to see Sata react to non-issues. Is there anything tribal in NWP chiefs or Mulasikwanda? Nothing! Mark this: Sata sees any criticism from a non-Bemba as tribal. Nevers Mumba was going to be called a tribalist if he was Tonga, Lunda, Kaonde, Lozi, etc. Mr. SATA, you are not a tribal president but a republican president and as such please conduct yourself in that manner. The word ‘Tribalism’ is too dirty and evil to come out from a ‘popular’ president’s mouth. VIVA Sata!

  10. Anybody who heads or supports an organization with the word “barotse” in it or between it, is a tribalist by default! Probe this man on those letters he is alleged to be circulating around Mungulula (Mongu), a Nkoya ancient trading center.

  11. WHEN WILL THE PRESIDENT STAND UP AND SAY SOMETHING ABOUT THE EMERGING TRIBAL RUMBLINGS AMONG ZAMBIAN PEOPLE. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS TREND WHICH OUGHT TO BE STOPPED QUICKLY. WE NEED LEADERSHIP NOW!! WE CANT HAVE A PRESIDENT WHO PERPETUATES TRIBALISM AND KEEPS HIMSELF BUSY BY ENGAGING IN TRIVIAL MATTERS ON THE EXPENSE OF NATIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AND RECONCILIATING THE ZAMBIAN DIVERSE CULTURES. WHAT HAS ZAMBIA DONE TO DESERVE SUCH A MEDIOCRE GOVERNMENT? I HAVE NEVER KNOWN ZAMBIANS TO BE TRIBALISTS AND YET THAT IS ALL I READ WHENEVER I OPEN LT OR ZWD AND I CANT BELIEVE THE DIATRIBE COMING ESPECIALLY FROM THE BEMBAS. IAM A BEMBA MARRIED TO A WOMAN FROM EASTERN PROMISE AND THERE ARE LOTS OF ZAMBIANS INTO MULTI TRIBAL MARRIAGES. ONE ZAMBIA ONE NATION!! THAT IS ALL WE HAVE.

  12. @ PM, tribal rumblings are just here on the internet bwana and it is educated people at the forefront fanning ethnic tension. Go out on the streets or in the bars and see who is talking tribe and you find its only a few misfits in society. The ordinary zambian does’nt care about tribe. And by the way who in Zambia on account of a political appointment has ever brought development to his area of origin? None! These politicians are just selfish individuals who consider their brethren in the villages to be a poor ungrateful lot.

  13. @14PM ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;YOU ARE GASSING, WHEN YOU OPEN ZWD BEMBAS ARE INSULTING? YOU ARE TELLING LIES, HOW DARE YOU THATS A PLACE BEMBAS ARE LABELLED MONKEYS, EVERY HEADLINE THERE IS INSULTING HE MCS OR ANYTHING NOT TONGA, you claim to be a bemba man married to a woman from eastern promise, where is eastern promise man ? you are lost and your lingo is anti-bemba , bemba man my backside

  14. THOSE HOLDING HIGH POSITIONS OF POWER SHOULD EMBRACE ALL CORNERS OF THE ZAMBIAN POPULATION. DO MORE LISTENING AND FIND LASTING SOLUTIONS TO THE VARIOUS RAISED BY THE ZAMBIANS. REACTING TO EVERY REPORT THAT COME TO THEIR ATTENTION WITH THREATS WILL JUST FURTHER COMPLICATE THE OLD WORSE SITUATION. THAT IS HOW UNIP LOST IT AND RECENTLY THE MMD. ITS BETTER TO BE A SERIOUS LISTENER THAN A VOCAL PERSON.

  15. @15.. Shimushinda. Thank you for allaying my fears. I was concerned that my beloved Zambia was degenerating into a society where everything is seen and discussed on tribal lines like @16. You doubt that Iam Bemba simply because I do not prescribe to the diatribe you continually spill on this site. This site like most sites are meant to share ideas and knowledge and not for the likes of seventh day adventist @16, who because of their skewed perception of everything they come across will never be useful members of any society.

  16. Bo Mulasikwanda dont worry ,this SATA was a shushushu even in colonial regeme. He used to spy on his fellow blacks and report them to his boses (whites). He has not changed, infact he is competing with the shushushu in his office to see who is knowledgable in this field.

  17. A person who plans against any government commits treason, therefore, this guys should be investigated thoroughly. Why should he engage in treasonable activities? Please just waite your time will come when you will be in gonvt as well, meanwhile chilll bwana.

  18. #18 Katumbi. Thanks now please report him to the police otherwise we may think you are bent on malice as you have posted the same thing 2 days now. Good man.

  19. Mulasikwanda has the right to defend himself to clear his name. Sata does not have the right to defame every Jim and Jack. Zambia is not a banana republic.

  20. Nkoya Pride, you will die with that dream, no matter how you want to separate from us, we knw that we are one. Lets pray for ths President, i think he is not himself, the sit is hot. Lets Watch him……………………………………………………….my fellow country men and women.

    • ISHEE MATUNDWELO LITIA@23;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;Please let Nkoyo Pride be heard, he has every right to make his stand, you cannot force a nkoyo to be Lozi. Are we not the same nkoyos you wanted out of western province during your last fake rebellion. We believe in one Zambia One nation ,,,,,,What you doing is treason and please do not bring us nkoyos into your war. You are one who is dreaming that land you are fighting for is zambian land, this BRE nonsense is rubbish tantamount to high treason, its either Sata is very soft or he is working tirelessly to bring about peace, but if you push the cobra too far that black and white but will not reach the other shore unless you have fitted it with a satalite missle defence system..Do not mess with the powers of a govt

    • ISHEE MATUNDWELO LITIA@24,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Please let my brother from my other mother (meaning from any Zambian tribe) voice his concerns, you cannot force us to be Lozi when we are not( Lambas are not bembas nor are the ngonis, ngengas) Are we not the same Nkoyos you wanted killed or kicked out of western province at your last civil disobedience?? which you thought was a rebellion

  21. Mulasikwanda sounds sensible. I wonder whether Sata got his facts right. Anyway iam surmising from newspaper reports rather than intelligence reports

  22. Some are inciting treason against a duly elected govt, simply for the reason your tribal men are not presidents or members of the inner cabinet, how can you expect them to be presidents we can only have 1 president,in turn appoints his deputy. If we had a coalition govt us they do in the uk, it would be different because PF would have given their coalition(pact) partners posts agreed upon before a govt can be . But for selfish reasons this was rejected before the elections and now the president has to choose from his inner circles.. Sorry but thats what a democracy does winner takes it all and appoints. In the uk the vital cabinet posts are for Camerons inner circles less too vital go to his coalition partners >PLZ.Take note last 3 british PM,s including Cameroon are scottish DEMOCRACY

  23. Well, when KK once said Sata was full of lies and malice, people told KK “ZWAAA”. Now they must live with the cantankerous lumpen they have put in State House. I doubt there is or has ever been such a petty president who seems to make it the order of the day to pick up quarrels with his own citizens. The next thing you will hear is that the president has been clobbered by an irate citizen because of his endless “masalamusi”.

  24. And by the way, he is the one who announced Austin Liato’s K2.1 billion and yet was not ashamed to announce that one of the policemen stole US$35,000 from his house. Now, what was such a collosal amount of money doing in Zondwe’s house when there are banks in this country where monies must be banked? Sata, even as president the lumpen just can’t help detatching himself from criminality, mambala No. 1.

  25. Great Mulasikwanda, tell all people including the youth not to make the same mistake of voting for Mr Sata again because he does not appreciate. To you i think this is an insult from the top.

  26. @ Mwine
What are you implying or planning… thats is treasonable, better explain yourself clearly, you will just rot in Chimbokaila. Who then wrote the letter which is circulating in W/Province?

  27. Mulasikwanda you are now reaping what you sowed.  I was wondering which sikuba campaigned for Satani in Mongu to make him win in Mongu Central.  Now I know it is you!  And, lo, your master has instantly turned against you within 90 days.  What type of a Lozi are you who is not wise!!  You deserve what you will soon get from Satani.  Brace yourself for more, sanganu tuwe!
