The Zambia Police service has confirmed the summoning of former transport and communications minister Dora Siliya for questioning.
Police spokesperson Elizabeth Kanjela has confirmed the development to QFM saying Ms. Siliya is expected to report at the former task force offices in Lusaka’s woodland area around 14:00 hrs.
The summoning of Ms. Siliya comes a few weeks after the commission of Inquiry that was constituted to investigate the sale of Zamtel established that the company was fraudulently sold as the then government did not follow that laid down tender procedures.
Ms. Siliya is also reported to have single sourced RP capitals of caymen islands to valuate the Zamtel assets which the commission’s report indicated was undervalued.
The commission established that the sale of Zamtel by the Zambia Development Agency was hastily done and that LAP Green failed to satisfy at least three of the procurement requirements and that it was shocking that they were awarded the tender.

What’s the cause of this recent police summoning Dora Siliya? Zambians know Dora has been summoned before, has appeared on COI investgating the Zamtel sale saga and has submitted documentarl evidence what she considers her take on this matter. Its up to the courts of law to prosecute her and jury pass verdict. You fail to highlight the fact that she declined to appear before some other commission which has rattled PF elite. Even the entire president made reference to her refusal to appear before this team. That is what has put her in big trouble to defy a presidential order. This clearly puts us verging on dangerous grounds with democratic institutions in place.

Kashimani, You dont seem to understand legal procedures. In law the procedures are just as important as the substance. Dora has never been cleared by any competent court of wrong doing. What was at issue, which was even taken as far as the High Court if not the supreme court was whether the tribunal that was set up by RB went beyond its mandate and power in their findings and recommendations. It is that issue which the courts, probably conviniently used to agree with her appeal that the tribunal overstepped its mandate. Otherwise on substance, she has remained indicted even in the court of public opinion, so where is the Bum Club at Chimbokaila???? Wanna Join????
