19. Mr. Vice President, may also take the chance to visit Konkola Copper Mines Plc and see for yourself the real picture on the ground. The minister of mines and mineral resources, the minister of labour and indeed the union officials have not taken a keen interest to resolve this problem. There is a very confused system with regard to the wage rates in the company especially the KCM4 and below. Some KCM1s, KCM2s and KCM3s have got better wage rates than those in the supervisory category at KCM4 hence the need to streamline the salary rates. The Management streamlined theirs last October in their respective categories from KCM5 and above but did not take any measure to do the same for those in the KCM4 category and below. Please, could you help alliviate this situation.
