Herve Renard has declared his team ready for Wednesdays semifinal showdown against Ghana in Bata.
And Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari says they respect Zambia but were also focused on reaching the finals on Sunday.
Renard said he was feeling no pressure and his players were looking forward to a very good game against Ghana.
“We know that 12 million Zambians will be watching us on the screens back home and waiting for us to beat Ghana and go to Libreville,” Renard said.
“This is the most important thing.”
Renard has no injury worries going into this game with unused defender Kampamba Chintu back in training this week after missing the whole of last week due to a tendon problem.
This will be the two sides first clash since August 12, 2009 when Ghana won 4-1 in a friendly in London.
Their last Africa Cup meeting was in 1996 in Johannesburg when Zambia beat Ghana 1-0 in a 3rd and 4th place playoff.
Meanwhile, Muntari said Ghana had a lot of respect for Zambia but that would not stand in their way to reach the Libreville finals.
“We want to play good football with them but we know it won’t be easy they play as a team but we will try our best and make our nation proud,” Muntari said.
Both teams confident to win but only one will carry the day in this knockout stage. Zambia oyee!!!
Lets wait and see. Ghana is not a big team to fear. That kuli ref should be like 2000 km away from the pitch. Good luck, yes you can.
For once Zed, beat this over rated team and get ready for Mali.
Politics aside, the people of Kafue Province and the rest of Zambia are firmly behind you.

Zambia should aim to score two quick goals, one at the most and defend for two to five minutes. In that time that is when a team in the lead is most vulnerable. Then after five catch them with a counter and then play that precise Christian nation football of calculated passes like the Book of Daniel. Then when the least expect it beat them like Jesus did when those Jews were selling merchandise in his fathers temple lol.
you are mad
zambia 4: Ghana 2
No.15″ Mwanawakwitu” Ala wandepula nembafu shakalipa, You must be a very interesting commedian. Keepit up your very interesting. God bless you. Your the people we need on this blogg for intertainment. And not people who are just talking about tribes as if they have nothing to make others happy.
@ KANOWENE glad I can make you laugh :) I really despise this whole trabalism nonsense as well.
@ BAKATEKA how are you
@THE SAINT let’s text Renard and tell him that te boys should fight for every loose ball and defend as one.
@ 15 Mwanawakwitu: That’s dangerously funny man. Yaaaba ati play like Jesus, we don’t want that of ukufipalanganya please. We want to see 4 sharp goals pass that goalie, he was a suspect in Ghana vs Tunisia.
@Mwanawakwitu…didn’t know there was Christian nation football. Thanks for the laugh. Indeed I LOLest

I have been browsing on-line more than three hours nowadays, but I never discovered any interesting article like yours. It is pretty price sufficient for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made just right content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.
