Arrows Fail to Strike Down Leopards

Share

Red Arrows interest in this years Caf Confederation Cup is looking very bleak after they were held at home by Royal Leopards from Swaziland in a preliminary round, first leg match at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka today.

Arrows’ frontline led by Dube Phiri failed to find their way past Leopards impressive goalkeeper Mphikizuzi Dlamini.

Dlamini twice kept out attempts by Bruce Musakanya in the 40th and 48th minute.

Mwape Mwelwa too had a good chance in the 51st minute saved by Swazi international goalkeeper who also shutout a Bronson Chama free kick in the 58th minute.

Meanwhile, Leopards best period in the game came in the last 10 minutes when Nxumalo Zweli saw his header scrape off the horizontal from a corner won after Luwawa had parried a Sabelo Sangweni shot in the 81st minute.

  1. Red Arrows did very well against the Swazi national team (Royal Leopards). In Zambia Red Arrows is a “small” team but in Swaziland, Royal Leopards is “THE” national team.

  2. Bad journalism were they cant give us the score. As for Arrows they are still on holiday.Royal Leopards players are police officers who have good fitness,so wake up ba Zambia airforce.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.

  3. And i think Leopards have a Zambian coach and it should be my good friend Texan Phiri,a former Green Buffaloes player.Good luck Arrows.GOD BLESS ZAMBIA.
