Zambia is not collapsing, but rising like a phoenix from the ashes!

Share

“To My fellow Zambians, let’s keep perspective and patience during this season of transformation! Zambia’s economic growth and development is a process that takes time, effort, and perseverance. Remember, Rome was not built in a day! Every great nation has gone through challenges and setbacks before achieving success.

Let’s focus on the progress we’ve made so far since independence and the opportunities ahead. Our country is blessed with natural resources, talented people, and a resilient spirit. Instead of dwelling on negative thoughts, let’s work together to build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.

Let’s support our leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators who are working tirelessly to drive economic growth and development. Let us as well respect leadership both past and Present.
Let’s also take personal responsibility for our own contribution to the nation’s progress.

Zambia is not collapsing, but rising like a phoenix from the ashes! Let’s keep pushing forward, and we’ll emerge stronger and more prosperous than ever!”

Let us remain optimistic, patient, and collaborative during the country’s economic transformation, highlighting the potential for growth and success.
Let us not distabilise ourselves, we are one Zambia, one nation and we can only have one government and one President at a time.

    • Zambia is not rising…..it is sinking deeper and deeper into troubled waters. The Zambian mini bus is slowly grinding to a halt. The people no longer have faith and trust in the driver and his conductors. We are doomed!

    • Ba Kalesha some of us arent kids. That means we have heard that kind of story before. Now you want to tell us that Zambia is “rising like a phoenix from the ashes”. The gullible Zedians will start waiting to rise with this phoenix. But I remember MMD’s Ronald Penza telling us in 1991 that “there’s light at the end of the tunnel” That light is still at the end of the very very long tunnel. Kapena the phoenix will now take us to the end of the tunnel?

  3. Remember this is not Rome! I know u gona say it’s just a saying, but it’s time Africa stopped following English proverbs coz they don’t work in this society. Entrepreneurs are not being looked after in this country…….there is now a spirit of working for the government. Nalila ichalo chesu mayo. This government must wake up and come up with proper solutions like Burkina Faso or Rwanda.

  4. The writer of this article is absolutely correct.
Look at where Zambia is now economically, socially and politically compared to 2021, everything is on the up.
We have to remember that back in those times Zambia was a basket case, they were infamous for being the first country is in Sub-Saharan to default on its debts.
The present government inherited an absolute MESS and through a visionary leader with sound policies and great negotiating skills is cleaning it up.
One shudders to think where Zambia would be if Edgar Lungu was still the president.

    • Victor Kalesha the former Mine Police constable is a “Sebana Wikute” guy. He has no principles and is a certified praise singer. He sings praises and defends anyone who is government. I have known this guy from the time he was growing up in Luanshya.

    • PF also claimed they had inherited an absolute mess from MMD. And MMD said they had inherited an absolute mess from UNIP. Thus HH was asked to privatise KK’s parastatals. During which time he saw the opportunities under the table

  6. The best is just to work and not this blame game. Why should you always refer to PF whenever you are highlighting your failures? Aren’t you there to fix it? Some of us can see the good part you have done but you are choking us with PF this PF that day in day out.

    • Imwe ba UFIMBENUMA, ba investor from the US, (So you claim) you have never suggested any solutions to the economic woes of the country. What exactly are you doing in contributing to the well being of the country? You claim to be well funded but you stay 24hrs on Lusakatimes instead of in the board room, just spewing unpalatables.

  8. Anyone opposing to this article is one of those lazy people we have we just waiting for handouts without working. Sorry those days are gone! In your right mind is it possible to reduce a 25 kgs of meal mill to ZMW50.00 and Fuel to ZMW9.00. Come on people spare us that go and work instead wasting our time

  9. There is no quick fix for Zambia, no microwave solution at this time. We will have to tighten our belts. No one but ourselves will save Zambia; change your mindset. Let us work with the current “guy” to turn things around. Let us stop being lied to like mu 90 days, like more money in your pocket nonsense. Good things do not happen overnight.

  10. Zambia has a lack of trustworthy people. The simple reason is that no one can win elections in Zambia without deceiving its wide awake citizens during campaigns. First and foremost, we must be honest with ourselves. Currently, we have a lack of honest women and men, and as long as that persists, the status quo will continue until we admit that we are not honest people. No single person will fix our problems, but as a team, we can and will.

    • Actually no city has been built in a day…. today is your not tomorrow. When someone has his belly full, he will not bother to show you where the food is stored.

    • Lucky Mulusa wanted to build a city in a day for the new capital of Zambia. Bwaaahahahahaha! But they fired him

  12. Rome was not build in one day but it was build. What we have today in Zambia is a directionless government who do not know what they are doing. How do you develop a country with no electricity, high fuel costs, tribalism at its best after Independence, police arresting people when HH says so, minerals being given out to white people for free. Your god Hakainde Hichilema has made history has a failure. What has done for this country in 2 and years he has ruled this country apart from subjecting his people to misery.

  14. South Africa is on the precipice. Relatively stable neighbouring countries like Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Malawi, Angola and Zambia should try and take advantage of the situation.

  15. For something to rise from the ashes there must at least be a kinder of hope but here there is none. Zambia is flatlined.
