Copper Queens Draw

Zambia and New Zealand have played to a one all draw in an international friendly game.

The game that was a test match of both sides prior to the commencement of the 2024 Olympic Games was played at the Louis Darragon stadium in Vichy, France.

Having played the first half to a goalless score line, the second half started with a bang as the Copper Queens opened the score-line in the 49th minute through RHODA CHILESHE.

Their one nil advantage was however short-lived as New Zealand pulled a goal back from the penalty spot after defender ESTHER SIAMFUKO was penalised for a handball.

KATIE KITCHING stepped up to convert the spot kick and made no mistake in her execution as she sent Copper Queens Goalkeeper NGAMBO MUSOLE the wrong direction to level matters for her team.

  1. I watched the whole game this game should have been treated as a serious friendly match but I wasn’t seeing that on the pitch. If this is the way they’re going to play when the Olympics starts against the bullies, they’re are going to be losing by 4 or 5.

    • Typical Nkana thuggish comments, always complaining and insulting. Those are girls who were playing, not the Kaponyas of Kitwe.

  2. I am already a worried about the available goalkeepers, now the defense seems to be sleepy. They are lacking sense of anticipation and urgency.

  3. Somebody please make the women national football team stop that hand motion above their heads as they enter the stadium. It is getting embarrassing now. To the world, it will be very strange during the Paris Olympics.

  4. Oh thank you for this comment, I thought I was the only one who is embarrassed by that hand waving over their heads.
    It looks weird.
