Power Dynamos coach Fordson Kabole has said they are ready for Konkola Blades on Saturday when they clash in the 2012 Samuel ‘Zoom’ Ndholvu Charity Shield semifinals.
Blades and Power will clash in lunchtime kickoff of this Charity Shield doubleheader at Arthur Davies Stadium in a repeat of last Decembers Barclays Cup final that Kabole’s side won 2-1.
Red Arrows and Nchanga Rangers will play in the second match of the afternoon in Kitwe.
Power comes into this match on the back of two successive wins over Japan Actuel of Madagascar in the preliminary round of the 2012 Caf Champions League to advance 8-1 on aggregate to the first round.
“Fans should expect our usual game and usual results we will do well again this season,” Kabole said
“We would also like to maintain the same performance like in the Champions League.”
However, he will be without his Under-23 striker Felix Nyaende who has a knee injury sustained last Sunday against Actuel.
Also missing will be defender Kamuzati Kabwe who is away in Lusaka attending to a family commitment.
Blades on the other hand will be trying to find their feet after the departure of four key players.
Three alone have joined Power namely midfielder Thomas Nyirenda, defender Maybin Chishimba and striker Graven Chitalu who are all available for selection against Power.
Meanwhile, winners from Saturday’s doubleheader will face off in the final on March 15 at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
