Faz Statement on AGM

Share

Ahead of our 2012 Annual General Meeting, the Football Association of Zambia would like to urge all candidates to pledge their commitment to observing and upholding the electoral rules and regulations and most importantly the election results of the assembly this weekend. This annual gathering of our football family is a very important undertaking which will attract national and international interest – particularly now when we sit at the summit of continental football as African champion. Its successful hosting and general conduct will therefore be a matter of enhanced interest.

As elections form a significant part of the agenda every four years, candidates must undertake to respect the electoral outcome and not engage in any form of activities that would bring the name of the Association and game into disrepute. The era of wrangles is long gone and every candidate, we believe, comprehends the fact that in every election there will always be winners and losers.

Our election campaign camp pledges and undertakes to respect and accept the election results.

We are pleased and happy with the preparations the Secretariat has put in place thus far and believe that Football House will be able to execute a very successful AGM and conduct a free and fair election.

For the benefit of all candidates and information of the entire football family, it is also important to note that the elections of 2012 will be held under the present constitution and as used during the AGM and elections of 2008.

  1. Kalu must go, winning afcon does not mean the futball house is in order, we don’t need crooked people. New blood with management skills.

    • who cares, if a crook wins an AFCON and your so called best managers have sunk clubs to Division 1 who cares, KALU FOREVER

    • iwe @bazambia, dont even call yourself bazambia coz u are very dull and useless, how do u suport plunderes? you are the same peaple who work day and nights and get paid 200 pin then you say as long as you have baught a bag of millie meal everythings is ok. you are a full.

    • Its Kalu Forever! A crook can never win you the Africa cup. Only someone who is doing something right can succeed!! Viva Great Kalu!!

  2. Ha!…ha!…ha!… keep your kalusha. who cares. there is this cancer that has taken over zambia now where extremely poor standards are being perpetrated by people who can’t see beyond tribe.

  3. Winning the AFCON was not Kalusha’s ingenuity, if anything we could have done better with more transparent and pragamatic leadership. He is too arrogant, together with his communications Manager that young boy Ric Mwanza, he nauseates me!!!
Trouble is that I find his competitor, Emmanuel Munaile a bit too slow for the fast pace of football politics. If Kalusha has o bounce back, delegates must ensure they demand transparency, accountability, humility and enhanced stakeholder consultation. They should also urge him to ensure his spokesperson drops the useless arrogance he displays!!!

  4. Sport on #5. Munaile haz a mountain to climb, not becauze Kalusha iz a better candidate, but the later iz rather “too fast” and would do whatever it takes to win. If the delegates see beyond camps and usher in Henchel Chitembeya for vice presizident, may be Kalu can then be checked and some sanity can prevail at Football House. Concilors should not allow themselvez to be compromized or bought. Its dangerous to have the entire FAZ executive hero-worshiping the prezident.

  5. Kalu is the only suitable leader as at now, he contributed to the wining of the AFCON by bringing back the coach, #5,reverse your statement

  6. But this statement can not be said from FAZ but Kalu’s campaign team, pa Zed chabe we can not even seperate personal interests from the offices!!!!

  7. I think Kalusha and company have done enough and give a chance to other for the follwoing reasons. 1.)
Lack of transperanc in FAZ deal – MTN, Personalising national football

2.) Weak on Ethics – contravacy on player tranfers, conflict of interest, VAT.

3.) London Depacle / natioanl embarassement Zambia vs Ghana friendly. only six

players arrived. confusion, the whole FAZ were wining and dining at Kalusha’s

wedding. (entire excutive) should have resigned.

4.) MMD and FAZ ni same the only difference is that Chipolopolo ‘saved’ thier

    necks.
    5.) C

  8. With all theese conflicting views from fans one thing is true. FAZ is democratic …issues of trsparency to be worked on. Let’s not just be haters with little or no constructive criticism …

  9. But this Mwamelo iz an interested party, more especially at this cruicial stage, and so should not issue such statements.
