Sudan Coach Banking on 12th Man

Share

Sudan coach Mohammed ‘Mazda’Abdallah says he will reply on the 12th man for a home result against Zambia this evening.

Zambia beat Sudan 3-0 in their last meeting on February 4 in a Africa Cup quarterfinal game in Bata, Equatorial Guinea.

“Sudan team is physically and emotionally ready to play against Zambia. Will try to get the win. I am confident in the players,” Mazda said

“We rely too much on fan in the game today. Fans will be there at Al-Hilal stadium and it does not require us to call them to attend to support the team.”

Zambia must win today to stay in touch against early Group D leaders Ghana who beat Lesotho 7-0 to go top of the pool on Friday.

  1. Thy problem zambian team is the moment u want them to do very u became disapointed but we keep the same spirit africon then will go thru let’s pray hard wishing thy best chipolopolo

  2. Half time and both teams have so far settled for a goal less draw. Wonder why the game started an hour before time.

  3. You are losing! Ghana will literally knock you out in Ndola. You’ve had your 15 minutes of fame. Move over now!

  4. How can we lose 2 nil to Sudan when we are the freshly minted African champions. I am really ashamed. Now we have to face Ghana who went goals galore 7:0 on Lesotho.

  5. 2bad4 Zambia, anyways all the 3 teams r gonna lose at some point, tym to man up and beat Ghana ,the competition has just begun.

  6. If u can’t beat Sudan at their backyard then forget about the World Cup b’cos Ghana will beat them home and away.

  7. The signs were written all over. They did not have time to rest having arrived in Sudan on Friday. It’s going to be a tough group for Zambia.Remember the last game for Zambia is in Ghana.Zambia has no chance of qualifying after starting with a loss in Sudan. The match in Ndola will be do or die affair .If Zambia loses then we should forget the 2014 Brazil World cup.

  8. did we really win the cup on merit or we just gate crashed the party since the rightful owners egypt were away marred in political turmoil to sort out…? coz this is embrassing…2 nil to sudan, we just kicked their butts some two months ago.. 5 games left no points plus – 2 goals..its the bloody coach again..very arrogant as ever taking different players to sudan leaving the angola squad..the angola boys had something to prove and thats y they managed a draw..as for this losers.. there r still with a hangover of winning the cup..and FAZ is partly to blame for not organising decent friendlies before this game which was important if we were to challenge for the first spot but its now a mountain to climb after throwing away that game and the 3 points ..tough..there will be no come back

  9. Zambia taken off the high horse. No acclamitisation time from high altitude Johannesburg. That is poor preparation. Anyway idont think any of the teams in this group will register an away win.

  10. Sbd commented that Zambia`s lifting of the Africa Cup was an anomaly, am wondering if the loss to Sudan offers credence to that assertion?

  11. These idi.ots were just drinking in south africa instead of training. There were at emperor’s palace last week partying and drinking. They thought Sudan will be a walk in the park. The honey moon of winning the africa cup of nations is over. Now you have to beat ghana home and away…

  12. Every time i comment on such matters i’m accused of being unpatriotic, but this is the only way gullible kalu bootlicking fans will ever learn…this is what happens when you send a team B to friendlies in Angola when your opponents are taking you seriously!!

  13. People
Were asking for a friendlies two weeks after afcon, but not Zambia they sent the Africa cup on tour and too an extended vacation lol. This is good so as Zambians can concentrate on work and their families not fi bola.

  14. Lets us be good losers.Last time around the team was in camp TOGETHER for over a month and now?A different team to Angola and a complete different team to Sudan. We are the African champions and the team to beat.FACT:The loss to Sudan makes Chipolopolo’s qualification virtually imposible.Ghana are favourites. They started with a home game(beat Lesotho 7-0),end the qualifications at home with Zambia.Remember,Zambia has never beaten Ghana in Accra.

  15. you can only comment foolishly if you have never played football. Sudan game is over for now. lets prepare 4 Ghana.

  16. As a Ghanian I can tell you that Sudan has a good flowing soccer and capable of troubling Zambia. It will be near impossible for Zambia to pass through Accra to Brazil. Psychology is what determines the winner in this terrain. Ghana is tasked with getting to the semi finals. They are seeing far ahead, while Zambia or Sudan is satisfied to enter the world cup gate.
