Faz Super Division side Nchanga Rangers on Monday afternoon confirmed the appointment of Fighton Simukonda as club head coach.

Rangers chairperson Blackwell Siwale said Simukonda had signed a three year contract at Nchanga Stadium.

Siwale said :”I can confirm that we have engaged Mr. Simukonda. He is our coach effective from today.

“He has signed a three year-contract. Fighton is a renowned coach, one of the top three or four in the country.

“Therefore when you look at his CV we expect a lot from him. We are not going to put him under-pressure we will allow him to operate independently.

“We will make everything available for him to operate in a good environment and later expect results.”

Simukonda, who left struggling Nakambala Leopards last week, takes over from Bruce Mwape.

He has previously coached Zanaco, Zesco United, City of Lusaka and Konkola Blades.

Rangers are 8th on the Super Division table on 21 points after 15 games played.

  1. He also coached my team Roan United. Nurtured by the late Abby Mokola, he is indeed one of the best soccer trainers in the country though things haven’t been good for him in the past two seasons or so. He has good credentials, he should be one of the national team trainers. We wish all the best in his new position.

  2. Operate freely! my leg. With administrator like Patrick Nkhata, Jim Chongo, ka Siwale and other *****s, I doubt.

  3. Feel free Simukonda, bring us players who can help us Win the Legue, tired of tired young Boys, give us the lost Glory, we are behind you, come on ma Ranger.

  4. There’re exactly what my youngster required and needed for his task outside the house. He adores the small situation he could just shared with up in the back pocket.
