Lime Beat kitwe Utd to Stay Top

Share

Striker Paul Chibambo scored a brace on Sunday as Faz Division One North league leaders Lime Hotspurs beat Kitwe United at Garden Park Stadium in Kitwe.

Chibambo was on the score sheet in the 30th and 59th minutes to help Lime increase their tally to 38 points.

Parading experienced players, among them ex-internationals Clive Hachilensa and Willy Chinyama plus former Power Dynamos and Nchanga Rangers defender Mwape Chongo, Lime dominated the match from the first minute with Chibambo regularly terrorising the Levy “Successor” Makungu led Kitwe backline.

The Buchi Boys had a chance to equalise after 57 minutes but veteran striker Chisala Mwandama failed to tap in an inviting cross from left wing.

Kitwe’s failure convert chances has confirmed the club’s technical bench’s opposition to the recent sale of striker Fregon Kaunda to Nkana.

  1. With the rehabilitation and sponsorship from KCM,’Mighty’ is on its way to the MTN super league. Its a matter if time..

  2. Kitwe United is playing very good and organised football dispite the insurmountable challenges faced by the technical bench ,players and club management.Kitwe united has the most committed coach in this division in the name of fred siame constantly going out of his way to ensure success of the buchi side and marshals a group of loyal players giving their all without expecting much in-return.I invite the business community to support the insufficiently
funded kitwe city council side fullfil its ambition of being promoted to the zambian super league.
