Herve Renard has named a 22-man team for Zambia’s August 8 friendly against Zimbabwe.
Zambia will host Zimbabwe for the first time in eight years at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola next month.
The team completely comprises of home-based players as Renard steps up his selection process for the 2014 CAF African Nations Championship qualifiers that kick off in November.
Renard has named unknown schoolboy Godfrey Ngwenya to the team.
The Frenchman spotted Ngwenya of Kalonga High School in Kabwe during the Airtel Rising Stars finals in Lusaka.
Second choice goalkeeper Kalililo Kakonje has been recalled after he was dropped for Zambia’s July 6 friendly away to Malawi that his side lost 1-0.
