New Chipolopolo call-up and Konkola Blades midfielder Misheck Chaila says it feels good to be called to the national team.
Chaila, is one of the five players, Chipolopolo coach Herve Renard drafted in the now 29-member team to face Zimbabwe in the August 8 friendly at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
In an interview, Chaila said he is surprised with the national team call-up.
“I feels good, you know I didn’t expect to be called. I thank my God for this opportunity. I am happy to find myself in the national,” he said.
Chaila said he was already looking forward to the friendly match to be played on Wednesday.
“This is a sign of good things to come in my career. I have to make sure I play good fooball,” he added.
Chaila is on loan from Kabwe Warriors.
Earlier this season, Blades coach Manfred Chabinga had backed the young star to play for the national team once given a chance.
