Rodgers Kola has pulled out of Zambia’s friendly against South Korea on August 15 in Seoul.
The strikers Belgium club KAA Gent asked that Kola be excused after only recently recovering from an injury.
Kola becomes the second player to withdraw from Wednesday’s friendly in Seoul.
Striker Jacob Mulenga of Dutch club FC Utrecht withdrew due to a family emergency back in Zambia.
He went on to miss Utrecht’s opening game against Feyenoord last Saturday to travel to Zambia.
Meanwhile, Herve Renard is still awaiting three European based players in Seoul.
Defender Emmanuel Mbola from FC Porto in Portugal, striker Emmanuel Mayuka of Swiss side Young Boys and midfielder Russian-based Chisamba Lungu are expected on Tuesday.
Five South African based players joined on Sunday while midfielder’s William Njobvu and Felix Katongo from Israel and Angolan respectively were due to join the team by press time.

No one would miss up on a chance to play for the African Champions…Roger my good sir take a rest-take your position in your new found team and then come back to us strong…Chipolopolo keep pinning down them copper bullets at whoever stands in our way…i can’t remember Korea ever beating us, despite their execellent showings in the world cup-ni ba customer!!! Take your training serious and do us good…VIVA ZED AFRICAN CHAMPS
The selection of national team players is biased towards kolwestans, we need more easterners, please coach don’t trust bembas they will betray you when u need them most, just like UKWA
You r now taking shalloweness to a whole new depth. Now you want to accuse a foreigner of practicing tribalism…..
Grow up young and childish boy, ubupuba bweka bwekafye, Mwanawasa told u that ur like buttocks, u will never be in front. I now bliev the late LPM
People near this “mashindu” must do everything reazonable to help this person or else someone will be blamed if the signz he iz exhibiting rezult into real mental disorder, before it iz too late..
I wish Chivuta or Mweene were team captain, all prayers could have been available, injured or not. Change the captain the atmosphere is very bad among the players.
“…all pRayers…”. Did you mean “pLayers”? Awe kwena night and day you just think of tribes mwe bantu. I think Herve Renard is a neutral man when it comes to your tribal considerations. He just looks at capabilities. You people are now sick in your heads, seriously. You need counselling. Miles Sampa told you to marry Bemba women so that we neutralise your sickness. Tamumfwa.
@ mashindu you just have a problem or is it that you are not from our generation which is not interested in tribal or racist comments. stick to bush politics if you are not a soccer fan. @ dojo do we are hummering korea in their own backyard. go zambia go. @ mushindu i dont know when you last watched a live game at a stadium but it is chaps like you that we sort out or is it that you make sure you behave yourself.
Any1 who watched Joshua Titima of Power being interviewed on ZNBC yesterday??? Guys guys guys can break this foreign language… Do thez chaps ever go to school?? Sunzu it was all the same “English wreckage”. Anyway nikusiana siana kwa mapalo na ma talent. Make sure u beat thoz short chaps or else..???
NO MWANA! BEMBA WOMEN WILL BETRAY US. THANKS BUT NO THANK YOU! ALL THE BEST CHIPOLOPOLO. MAKE US PROUD. WE KNOW YOU CAN BEAT THE ASIANS. SAMPA SHOULD GO TO HELL! THATS HIS OPINION. ULISONDOKEDE NA?
Players born in CB are the ones who cant speak English. Kalu is the only CB guy who speaks good English. Jacob also since he went to Mpelembe
Often timez it iz wizer not to comment at all becauze you may instead end up expozing some of your own deficienciez like this #8.
Comment misplaced boss, wat are trying to say now? All players pass thru Copperbelt in their careers, why??? Footballers are just the sem, whether they are born from eastern western (if any), southern or Luapula. They owez hav it tough academic wise. Even big names in European football the story is similar
