Grizzly Mining Sponsor “Chingalika” Kitwe United

Share

Grizzly Mining Limited has announced that it will fund Kitwe United player’s salaries for the next six months.

Company Public Relations Manager Barbara Shilengwe revealed this on Monday and said the funding is from last July to December this year.

Shilengwe said Grizzly has so far funded the July and August salaries amounting to K 64.5 million.

” 2012 marks the first time that Grizzly Mining Limited makes a donation of salaries for two months, incorporating July and August, amounting to K 64,500,000. It is our firm conviction that this financial intervention will assist in making the last part of this year better for the team and inspire it to exceed achievements recorded in the past,” she said.

Shilengwe added:” This year is special in that it unveils the euphoria of being the current African Champions. It is now incumbent on the corporate world to sustain this achievement by ensuring that Zambia has a large pool of players around the country to tap into for future tournaments.”

And United owners Kitwe City Council expressed excitement that Grizzly has come on board to help fund the player’ salaries.

Council spokesperson Dorothy Sampa said paying players at Kitwe has been a burden to the local authority.

“We are excited and grateful at the gesture by Grizzly. It is a burden for us to pay the players. The players have since been paid their July dues and the August in advance,” she said.

Kitwe City Council has been struggling to pay not only players and coaches at Kitwe United but its employees as well.

When are we going to wake up how do you give a man maize-meal for his dinner, why not give him a hoe so he can grow his own maize. There is nothing sustainable about giving someone a salary or funding payroll, this is counterproductive and just encourages laziness.
    Wake up people!!

  2. I simply wanted to appreciate you yet again. I am not sure the things that I would’ve created in the absence of the suggestions documented by you about that industry. Certainly was an absolute distressing situation in my opinion, but witnessing the very professional way you resolved the issue made me to jump for happiness. I’m just thankful for this guidance as well as pray you comprehend what an amazing job you happen to be carrying out training people by way of your web page. I am sure you haven’t got to know any of us.

  3. Grizzly must sponsor a football team in Lufwanyama, where there busy digging emeralds as well. Lets be serious for once.

  4. Mafukeni Mutondo

Are you not ashamed to post such rubbish…Why should they hand out money to you or to football clubs…why don’t you encourage them to sponsor community based business projects initiatives or maintaining a primary school or building a library so as you are empowered.
When you going to cease to think like a broiler chicken who couldn’t escape the cage even when the cage door is opened as you have nowhere of making a living on your own.

    Wake up.

  5. Grizzly has made billions of Dollars from Zambia’s emaralds and this is all they can give back – Huge investments in the Canadian Hotel Industry amounting to Billions of Dollars from the sale of Zambia’s emeralds… In Zambia, not even a school or Hospital for the people in the region where Gunase has acquired all his wealth. God have mercy…

  6. Now i’m looking for both blog sites giving neutral, balanced commentary in most matters or possibly blog sites that are fitted with a fabulous open-handed or possibly left-wing slant. Thanks..
