President Michael Sata has retired Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet Mr. Teddy Mulonga in national interest. This is contained in a press statement made available to the media by his Special Assiatant for press and public relations, George Chellah.
The Head of State thanked Mr. Mulonga for the services he rendered to the country during his tenure of office.
And President Sata has appointed Ambassador Peter Kasanda as deputy Secretary to the Cabinet. Prior to the appointment, Ambassador Kasanda was serving as Ministry of Foreign Affairs permanent secretary.
Ambassador Kasanda has been replaced by Margaret Miyoba who has been transferred from Luapula Province to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same capacity.
The changes are with immediate effect.
Ndeloleshafye, :-? thats why 2016 ni NAREP chabe!!!!
in 2 days time you guys will cloak 1 year. show us kabili for now we are tired of donchi. mind you the swing generation is still active and yours may be a 1 term office stint abeit non achievements but mere rhetoric. mr sata this is government not lusaka district council or pf opposition party. the appointments are now stinking and have become stale. people need good roads, medicines, undisturbed academic calenders, clean water, money in their pockets to name but a few things you preached. Mind you, the barotse saga may as well be a killer punch to your administration. you will be shocked that copperbelt will shift to HH and lo and behold this is happening faster than you calculated.
One, you are lying that in two days time we will be clocking one year, Two, it can never happen that Copperbelt will fever HH. Three, u must be blind to see how well we have turned well the once agly face of the country. Four, by that statement you are saying Copperbelt People can follow that Party full of Gung Rapists, hence you are insulting the guys.
How old is ba Kasonde mwe bantu?
My thoughts exactly:-?
weeds !
I wonder where this boat will take us by 2016.Everyone is being retired, or rather fired in National interest.Everyone.My humble question is,’Who is being ret(f)ired next,in National interest?’Thank God Almighty it’s not me.
Long overdue!! Teddy failed to manage football. how can manage that big one.
You expected Teddy Mulonga, a Kaonde to last in this Kolwestan government?
Recycled spokesman, dont b stupid,y ar u insulting the president and His govt.we know were u belong,no wander u ar bitter.Bt plz dont b foolish and mind yo tongue. There ar many pipo frm n.western who ar in govt,bt y this chauvinistic nonsense frm a bitter fool lyk yoself. It’s yo leader HH who is tribal coz he only wins in tonga land.shame on u and yo bitter frend HH.
@ISAAC,
From your comment and language above people can judge who is bitter between you and me. And why are you responding on behalf of the President. I am entitled to my opinion and this is the beauty of democracy. If you don’t like my comment, just skip it. I didn’t invite you to insult me because I have not insulted anybody.
The fact it, PF Government is the most tribalistic government in the country’s history, that is not a secret. You may insult me but THAT IS A FACT. I don’t owe anyone any apology.
Spot on, we should not be apologising when people purely because of self interest and self preservation motives refuse to see what is so plain. Each time this is raised the defence is that we are bitter, but a few weeks ago we saw who is bitter, displaying someone’s hard earned money and trying to catch up by swindling us through undeserved salary increments
If people are really true to themselves, am sure if the die-hard PF supporters are beginning to see that their party has no direction and is most likely to leave this country in a total mess. when is this whole hire and fire going to end??????? MAY THE GOOD LORD PLZ HELP US………
I get amused when arguments are reduced to tribal politics. I think we must begin to extend our minds a bit further in a way that examines and questions the individual capacities of professionals affected by either demotion or retirement. Things like what are their track records? What achievements do they leave as a legacy, etc. This idea that one must be in a job forever is what takes us backwards. Remove the tribal curtain and fresh perspective will reign!!
PF do your thing while you have your time in the sun.
The recruitment and dismissal of staff should be handled with the care and consideration due. Keep in mind brothers, the civil service is not the cabinet. Tinkering with the CS is usually a bad bad idea.
Shuffling ministers can continue, but, keep in mind that the people will not evaluate your performance based on your disciplinary action and keeping a tight ship.
You had better deliver more decent and affordable housing, food, education and health care.
Anything less and you are signing your own dismissal letter come 2016.
Shelf life of PF appointed functioneries in government is very limited indeed. How long was Teddy a deputy SC and Evans SC?…only the family forest has job security, everyone else is just a condom… to be used and disposed of at the presidos pleasure!
Appoint or retire people, let off verbal diarrhea and fight verbal wars with HH is all Sata knows to do.Good governance of entrenching democracy and increasing Zambian GDP is not Mr Sata’s forte.Thats Greek to him.
Man of action indeed.
Classic CNP!!!!! How can a government function properly with so many changes?
It’s a dose of endless reshuffles, everyday! Margaret Miyoba was in Mansa only for 21 days and she is moved back to Lusaka. In Southern Province, Mwaliteta’s replacement will be the fourth deputy minister in one province inside of one year. Some miniteries have three deputy ministers etc. I honestly doubt Sata’s sanity, I also doubt he has any decent length of memory about all these changes he is effecting on a daily basis. The little we have seen of him at meetings especially the SADC ones has been a disaster. His bizzare antics in Botswana, Angola, Mozambique and UK point to a man afflicted by some serious mental disease, wa potoloha kacacani mucembele wa mitolo!
@ Recycled Spokesman and Sosa Bomfwe
People have a right to be tribal. It’s a democratic right, and shall be practiced by every person who comes to plot 1, unless he/she is tribe less. That is a fact. If you’re not tribal, well and good, but it remains a fact that the majority of Zambians are proudly tribal, and that should not offend you, unless you’re insulted or victimized because of your tribe. Most whites pretend not to be racist and we still hung with them in their countries.Â
Awe bane, even if we’re bent on opposing anything that this government does, the removal of ba Teddy from government was long overdue. In fact there are a lot more removals that need to be effected urgently.
Plan yena pali ba PF palibe, but in their scattered way of doing things the removal of ba Mulonga is a welcome development.
