The body of late Albert Silwimba, 37, alias Alubusu, who died in a road accident in the late hours of Friday, November 2, 201,2 along Kaoma-Mongu road, has been taken to Lusaka for burial.

Deceased’s uncle, Ackim Chiyeye, confirmed the development to ZANIS in Mongu yesterday at the scene of the accident at Miulwe, 35 kilometres from Mongu Town, adding that burial is expected to take place today.

Meanwhile, Western Province Police Commissioner, Fanwell Siandenge, has refuted claims from the public that the deceased was carrying someone unknown in the vehicle after reports came out that there were female shoes found at the scene in the vehicle.

Mr Siandenge said a search was carried out at the scene after villagers nearby claimed that there was a person retrieved from the car whom they alleged died on the way to an unknown destination but police officers have not found anything.

Silwimba died on the spot while driving a motor vehicle, a BMW registration number ALE 8235 at Miulwe area of Mongu district in Western Province.

He failed to negotiate the curve at Miulwe, went off the road and hit into several trees before the vehicle stopped about 100 meters away from the main road.

  1. This must have been a really high impact accident. he must have really been speeding. Sad lesson to all of us motorists that we should always be careful. MHSRIP

  2. People say he was a musician, but i have never heard his music before, he was unknown artist, how can unknown artist afford to buy a BMW? when seasoned musicians like Koffi Olomide can only afford a FIAT 123? where was the owner of the car, thus the problem with borrowed vehicles.

    • learn to be senstive malinso….we talking about life and you are talking about owner of the vehicle so what if it was not his…..you have never borrowed a vehicle yourself pls!!!!

    • Malinso, you’re probably not Zambian or haven’t lived there for some time, seeing as you don’t know Alubusu! Bwela Panyumba (Bana Balila weo) was really big some years ago, and he’s done some new ones since. Despite not knowing him, have some compassion for his family, and for those of us who knew him and his music.

    • Unknown or known, does it matter ga-loo iwe? U’re in a rented house, used borrowed money to do yo poor studies where ever u are and when a truck hits into the car that u’ll one day borrow, what should we say about u?

    • Iwe kamalinso! Did you just drop from a tree and not know that Alubusu was one of the most famous ZED musicians at some point?
Osa bwatauka uka pona kumusambo! STUPID FOOL!

    • foolish igronant malinso; your so called seasoned rumba stars are finished; you will find some of these musicans like Kanda Bongo Man in internet cafes in Cheatamham Hill Manchester; these guys made their money wasted it on hules or were hoodwinked by their promoters now its gone. Today musicians are smarter

    • I don’t know where on earth are u from, I am a South African and I am a BIG fan of Alubusu. He was and will always be a great musician.

    I enjoyed yo stuff man

    R.I.P

  4. Speed kills and get to to know the laws of physics. Do not overspeed on curves otherwise the centrifugal force takes you out if the contact between the tires and the road surface is poor which could be due to a smooth road surface, worn out tires or water on the road. RIP our brother.

  5. @4 you are evil…chaoona mzako chapita mmaba chili pa iwe…ukafwa na cholera mambala iwe….tatwakateke ni chililo chobe stupit iwe..RIP Alubuso boyi

  6. Condolences to the family. I heard of this from a friend Funny Kondolo who is an auntie to the dead man. The people should not speed too much. Since police have no facilities to control speed it is up to drivers to do that. In USA there are speed limits. If you speed the police pull you over and you get a very expensive ticket $100 or more. I used to speed in Zambia too. But now I think that was a suicide wish cars can kill. Here I do 55 miles per hour.

  7. I have noticed the that Alubusu car has been stripped. What sorrow and shame on us as a country. Our levels of poverty is now attacking our souls even. God gave us all we need and more, to economically prosper- plenty water ,land, solar, wind, minerals and intelligence. Let us change our mind set from victims to victors.

  8. No 4 malinso, you are evil, and only God will judge you at your burrial site soon .We mbwa we,who have just learnt to use internet.

  11. We will miss you. I enjoyed this man’s music and I can still see him singing that hit song of “Mukazi wanga bwela pa nyumba. MHSRP

  12. I think the villagers must have put oil on the road.I hear villager on that stretch and the Ndola route are fond of spilling oil on the roads in order to cause accidents so that the can steal from the unsuspecting accident victims. This is what illiteracy and poverty breeds.

  13. Boi, its fine you have gone to be with God. I will not stop crying! I will miss all the nice time we spent together. Rest my dear brother!
