Nkana coach Zeddy Saileti has disclosed that 2012 top scorer Reynold Kampamba will not making any local move in the 2013 season.
Zanaco are said to have shown interest in the teenage striker who recently returned to Zambia after unsuccessful trials in Switzerland and Israel.
“He is still a Nkana player we will still wait for offers outside the country,” Saileti said.
“But loaning him out (locally) is out.
“I have spoken to the chairman and the chairman reassured me he will not be loaned.”
Kampamba scooped the top scorers’ award after scoring 15 goals in the 2012 season in which Nkana finished sixth from bottom in 11th position.
Meanwhile, Nkana began their 2013 pre-season training on Monday afternoon at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe under Saileti and his assistant coach Gift Kampamba.
Missing on the first day of training was Kampamba and Evans Kangwa.
Kampamba was excused from training to rest while Kangwa is still in Lusaka attending to other commitments.
Kangwa is set to leave over the coming week for English Championship side Watford for a 10-day trial spell as soon as his UK visa is issued.
