Government has conveyed its condolences to Forum for Democracy and Development (FDD) leader Edith Nawakwi on the death of her 26 year old daughter, Hatamba Hambulo.

Chief Government Spokesperson Kennedy Sakeni, who is also Information and Broadcasting Minister, said the death of the FDD leader’s daughter was saddening.

Hatamba is believed to have been brutally killed by unknown people in Lusaka’s Ibex Hill residential area on Tuesday.

Mr. Sakeni said this in a press statement released to ZANIS in Lusaka today.

He expressed government’s deep-felt grief and sorrow on the sad and tragic loss of Ms. Nawakwi daughter.

Mr. Sakeni wished the bereaved family God’s comfort and strength as the bereaved family goes through a time of extreme pain and sorrow.

He said perpetrators of such brutal and barbaric acts would not go unpunished but be dealt with severely by the long arm of the law once they are nabbed.

    • SATA PLEASE WE DON T WANT INNOCENT BLOOD SHED.REMEMBER BLOOD SPEAKS,IT WILL ALWAYS SPEAK AGANIST YOU AND YOUR GOVERNMENT.AND IT WILL ALWAYS AFFECT YOUR CHILDREN AND THEIR CHILDREN.TURN TO GOD FOR THERE IS NO SIN WHICH JESUS CAN NOT FORGIVE,EVEN THAT OF BLOOD SHED.THATS WHY YOU ARE NOT HAPPY EVEN WHEN YOU ARE PRESIDENT.YOU HAVE A GREAT OPPOTUNITY TO RULE A CHRISTIAN NATION.DON’T BE DECIVED BY KK.THE BATTLE IS THE LORDS…..

  2. Pantu ba Nawakwi lyonse bamoneka kwati balalila pamenso! So you can’t know whether or not she is sad this time around. But too bad mwana wesu wafwa nobantu – presidential material (Tonga/Bemba product, according to Kilometer Sampa theory!)

  3. Very sad in deed for such an intelligent girl to murdered so brutally.May God give the Nawakwi and Hambulos strength in trying time. What a loss to the nation. She was a potential leader.

    • You still believe in the lie of a prayer? Name one country where prayer changed anything and I will give you the name of one that has lamentably failed because of it. In case you are still guessing, it is Zambia stoopeed!

The more they pray, the more poorer they become!

  4. Nawakwi is paying the sacrifice by supporting the satanist evil Dictator Sata who has brought ritual killing in Zambia just as it happened under Kaunda another satanist who practiced sorcery at State House.

The evil Roman Catholic organisation and its priest father Bwalya killed and abused of innocent animals during MMD rule. This has made ritual killers to kill innocent Zambians.

Zambians need more prayers to cast the spell brought by the evil child molester Roman Catholic Organisation priest Bwalya.

The aim of the evil Roman Catholic organisation & its evil priests is to fight Evangelical and Pentecostal Christians who have been praying for Zambia to have peace from above & were involved in declaring Zambia as a Christian nation.

    Chiluba stopped satanism in Zambia

  5. They should have apologised for sending police to sort out opposition figures while neglecting innocent citizens security.

  6. It seems Hatamba was a step daughter to Ms. Nawakwi – please let us also remember the biological mother during this very difficult time, if she is still alive. Very sad indeed what is happening in Zambia. Many years ago we had one or two serial killers (who killed a lot of people, still). In the past two years or so, it seems there are so many Zambians who are ready to kill a fellow human being in the most heinous way – very strange and scary. MHSRIP.

  7. After watching with my family on our National News of the loss of a daughter. We know it must be difficult for the family. We keep you in our prayers

  8. I’m devastated that some bloggers have no sense! This is a trying time for any one who has a family..just imagine if it was your daughter, sister or niece murdered senselessly
like that.. this is not time for politicking

    • Police have capacity to prevent some of these murders if they set their priorities right. You don’t have to pretend nothing can be done, be real!

Police misplaced priority at the moment is to fix the opposition, which is sad.

  9. It’s sad to see th recent eventualities take place in our country zambia. Let’s stand as christians n pray against the sprit behind these killings. We are a Christian nation n God is with us

  10. IN ASMUCH AS WE WOULD LIKE DEATH PENALT TO GO THROUGH IN THIS OUR CHRISTIAN NATION, INNOCENT PIPO WOULD BE HANGED WHILE PEPERATORS WILL GO SCOTFREE.RUTH,TAXI DRIVERS,HATAMBA ,CHLISHAANI FWE BENA ZAMBIA?MWE LESA TWAPAPATA TWAFWENI.
ITS REALY PAINFUL, PLZ ZEDS LETS LEARN 2 FORGIVE AND FORGET
    M.H.S.R.I.P

  11. Did she refuse to be raped and murdered? Women please just give when a man demands forcefully, to avoid such calamities, iam sure she could have handled the game at 26!!!!

    • @14 Malinso, Tell your father to force you back through the hole you came through to earth. Don’t let us help your father do so, if he no longer exist, we can find a way to help you get to him in hell.

  12. Am still not satisfied with Government’s statement, it sounds like Sakeni’s personal message.
Untill I see, Kaseba, Maureen, Bana Kunda, Bana Guy Scott, Bana Wina…. and front of them should be that Stella Libongani who has no children yet!! She thinks these kind of deaths are tragedies, no no no its more than that.
If there was a road to heaven, I could have walked and tell Nawakwi’s child to come address PF & its influence on society.

  13. Police should STOP fixing political opponents to PF and deliver security to the people. Why have a batterion just to cage one person like HH or Mumba when criminals are feasting on defenceless youths especially girls? As citizens, we should DEMAND protection NOW from government. We should protest with or without the nonsense permit.

  14. condelences to Nawakwi and family. police are busy trying to oppress the opposition for sata’s sake instead of protecting the nation. let the people rise up and protest at state house. but why too many killings under sata? it was the same under kk for a time.

  15. I have heard so many times of a person being attacked, screaming for help, neighbors hearing and not doing anything about it. What is going on? Why aren’t people helping anymore? This girl’s life would have been spared if one neighbor had knocked on another neighbor’s gate, come together and just banged on Hatambu’s gate. Those murderers would have been scared away. The police are not enough to fight crime, lets come together and help. Those neighbors could have definitely done something to help the poor girl. Remember, God has no hands or legs or a voice but ours.

    • My brother, African communalism is dying. Its surviving in the township because you can cross through your neighbour’s yard on your way to your next door home. You can also get burning embers from your neighbour’s Mbaula to start your own fire (ukwapula umulilo) and can ask for salt.
People baku mayadi dont even want to know their neighbours because they are self sufficient and as such dont want disturbances. Life is as exclusive in Kabulonga as in London’s windsor. A scream in the neighbourhood is my neighbour’s problem
