SELECTIVE JUDGEMENTS AND RECENT ACTIONS BY THE MINISTER OF JUSTICE IN LUANGWA
As NAREP we would like to express our displeasure with recent developments in the nation. We are all aware of the recent nullification of the Chipata Central seat by the Supreme Court.
That action was as a result of the petition by the losing PF candidate who cited “corrupt” activities by the winning candidate. The petitioner cited activities conducted by Mr. Mutolo Phiri prior to the elections ashaving given him unfair advantage in the election.
It was reported in that media recently that the Justice Minister Mr. Winter Kabimba had made a cash donation to a congregation in Luangwa. And we are all aware that there is a by- election in Feira and we believe this is part of the PF administration’s strategy to buy the electorate. We challenge the PF administration to tell the nation if this not correct.
If making a cash donation in an area where there is an election is not corruption then what is it?Does this imply that some animals are more equal than others? Will dishing cash in selected areas bring about the development that the PF administration promised the people of Zambia?
We call for a fair playing field and condemn the selective use of the justice system and theresulting abuse of the authority given by the people of Zambia.
Further we continue to condemn the removal of the fuel subsidy without consultation with key stakeholders.
If PF administration is truly committed to the reducing expenditure and improving the welfare of the Zambian people, we will urge them to show this commitment by stopping this endless string of “engineered” by-elections and reducing the size of cabinet and deputy ministers.
These excesses have continued to put a strain on the resources of this nation; resources that can be better applied in far more important areas.

NAREP an online party. You will find NAREP in the media almost everyday but go on the ground, not even a trace is found. Who is supporting NAREP in Zambia when they dont have not even one councillor. What is the mandate of NAREP in Zambia?Elias should rethink about his political career. He is a disaster in politics. How honestly can he explain his existence for so many years without not even one spark on the ground to show NAREP exisitence. But go online, one will think NAREP is the major opposition party. Probably we need to put an MP for online and am sure NAREP will definitely scoop this one. So NAREP just shut up and start contributiing meaningfully to Zambia.
Spot on! When you make such allegations you must have facts. How much did Kabimba donate and to who was the cash donation made? If you can’t prove that then you are wasting people’s online time. And why support the subsidizing of fuel? We are not a rich nation to be providing fuel subsidies to Mining companies, Transporters, Companies with large fleets etc. If there was a way of identifying those that ‘really’ need the subsidy I would be for the idea. That money should go towards improving the social welfare of our people. On By-Elections. It’s up to us to change the constitution NOW!!!
