ACC confirm digital migration tender probe

Share

The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has confirmed that it has instituted investigations into the cancelled National Digital Migration tender.

ACC Public relations Manager Timothy Moono has told QFM News in a statement that the Commission has received a number of queries regarding investigations into the cancellation of the National Digital Migration tender.

Mr Moono however, says the Commission has not received any documents from Information and Broadcasting Services Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba pertaining to the cancellation of the tender for the supply, delivery and commissioning of the National Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcasting System in Zambia.

Information and Broadcasting Permanent Secretary Emmanuel Mwamba announced the cancellation of the tender a week ago on the advice of the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) which had raised concern with regard the way the tender was given by then Permanent Secretary Amos Malupenga.

  1. This ACC and its director general are useless and annoying. When did we start talking about corruption in the ministry regarding digital migration tenders? The chaps were just sitting instead of being pro-active. Now because the PS has spoken, they have dicided to move in. The investigations will yield nothing knowing how compromised Rosewyn Wandi and her goons are. There is no way they are going to implicate any of Sata’s boys without his permission. This is a big joke. The DEC, ACC and the police are just wasting tax payers money because they don’t protect the public. Instead, they only act when Sata says so. Time of reckoning will come.

  2. I hope ACC has contacted mwamba to submit the cancellation documents for the investigations to proceed against malupenga and his accomplices. Mwamba should also handle this issue with urgency for his own sake. He may be transfered to a different portfolio which may spell doom to the investigations.

  3. It is funny how Amos Malupenga, the feared young man and largely no nonsense, can within a few days be reduced to nothing. Amos, say something. fun enough, the people you were presiding over are busy selling you off to Mwamba. Problem is that you thought those people smiling at you were for you but you were terribly wrong. that young man at MLSS is in the street because of you. Don’t mess around with God. God punishes people who are abusive. key lesson is that you should learn to accommodate even people who don’t agree with you. Don’t let power, authority and money go to your head like some Ministers and PS at the government complex.
