President Michael Sata has with immediate effect retired Mr. Emmanuel Mwamba as Permanent Secretary Cabinet Office.
This is contained in a press satement relesed to the media by his press aid George Chellah.
“This is to confirm that with immediate effect, you have been retired in National Interest. I wish to thank you most sincerely for the services you rendered to the Government during your tenure of office,” read President Sata’s letter to Mwamba in part.
The Head of State has wished Mr. Mwamba success in his future endeavours.
On Monday President took Mr Mwamba to task for not consulting him on the issuance of nationwide radio licence to Radio Phoenix. QFM was also granted a radio nationwide radio broadcasting licence while Muvi TV was given a nationwide television licence.
“And you Mr Mwamba do you know why…stand up.…do you know why the previous administration did not give national wide coverage to all other people apart from ZNBC, do you know why?
“You are very intelligent; you thought all of us are very stupid, you thought all the people who died before independence are stupid. You come to the ministry and start giving coverage to all so that HH (UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema) can now speak on Phoenix, can you tell me the justification,” he said.
The President said the reason why Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation (ZNBC) and missionaries were left with the nationwide licences was to protect the integrity of the nation.
“ The opposition sits at Radio Phoenix and you know that very well, you are much aware that persons with shares are not Zambians but you go ahead to approve, did you consult.
“Did you come to see me about it, don’t use my ministry to fight your own political battles, go outside stand on the platform and we can meet you there on the platform, don’t use my Government,” he said.
Icho! Carteeeeeeeeel !!!!
He is being punished for being to ambitious, ludicrous.
Not very different from being over taxed because you earn a lot more than the average person
I am appalled by the president.
For no reason, I am falling for the UPND.
Get your act together for goodness sake.
Thanks
I wish to thank you sincerely for issuing nationwide licenses to Phoenix and QFM.
“You are very intelligent; you thought all of us are very stupid, you thought all the people who died before independence are stupid?”…….“Did you come to see me about it, don’t use my ministry to fight your own political battles, go outside stand on the platform and we can meet you there on the platform, don’t use my Government”
These are venom-filled scarely words bane!!Too bad for the unfortunate minister! Well, we all know how valuable and influential radio stations are, every station wants a National wide audience but due to the undemocratic bureaucracy of this nation coverage is limited. Personally revoking the licenses wasn’t a good idea. People need to be educated on what’s happening in their own country.
H H can make good use of Mwamba
Anthony mukwita is next, he thought mwamba was his God! Cartel for forever
What is happening with Emmanuel Mwamba? He has been moved around too much:
2 Nov. 2011 – Northern Province PS – 13 months
30 Nov. 2012 – Eastern Province PS – 7 weeks
24 Jan. 2013 – Western Province PS – 7 months 3 weeks
13 Sep. 2013 – Ministry of Information PS – 6 weeks
28 Oct. 2013 – Cabinet Office PS – 1 day
29 Oct. 2013 – Retired
Mmmmh!
Never bite the finger that feeds you!!
or know which side of your bread is buttered!!!
just warning shots being fired, more and sustained barrage to follow
The Retirer!
In the mean time he is busy paving way for his son Mulenga Sata to take over as Lusaka district chairman. Then he will appoint him as an MP then Deputy vice president and later Vice president in preparation for him to take over when he retires on health grounds.
Sata is ill and wants to rest but can not trust any one apart from his son to take over.
All these plans are under way and will be executed before his situation worsens.
I think a medical examination on Mr. Sata’s brain is needed coz the old man has surely lost it. I think he is getting insane
He was becoming too popular bane. Remember the rules: Never try to be smarter than the president. Ask Given.
Kikikikikiki.
Hehehehehhehe.
kekekekekekekek
Hihihihihihihihihihihihihihihih
eyiiiiiii. yaba!!!!!!
@ Sebana. You ve broken my ribs!!!
Ati 28th Oct. 2013 – Cabinet Office PS – 1 day
29 Oct. 2013 – Retired
Kikikikikikikiikiikikiki
One Mwamba gone one more to go. Never play with kabimba and live to enjoy another day. A lesson to all those against him.
Sata will never fire Kabimba . The moment that happens, that will mark the end of PF. PF is Sata and Kabimba all the others are disposable pawns.
Alibilingana sana kwati ni nkumba ili pa Heat!!!
Emmanuel Freedom Mwamba. The Lord bless and keep you. The Lord make his face shine upon you. The Lord watch your going out and coming in. The Lord bless and protect you. You are a great man of God for you have fought a good fight of giving press freedom to Zambians. You will forever prosper and keep your place of honour. Freedom of the Press Mwamba!!! What a man. My hero!!!!!
The man has taken taxpayers money with all the movements around the country in terms of settling allowances (hope he was not paid each time) in such a short span of time in GRZ. Refer to 1.6 Sebana Wikute.
Mwebantu muletasha (Be thankful) Sentiments aside. If history and experience serves me well, a case of unregulated radio stations played a role in igniting genocide in Rwanda. Now with the current wave of every mouth speaking “tribalism” at any given chance, makes this a very sensitive time to throw caution to the wind all in the name of press freedom. Let us be cautious bane.
Sata is a man of integrity now I know 2016 is for him again
Ba Chali naimwe! Do you even know what that word means? A man of integrity has no fear. He is never affected by the utterances of people who oppose him. He simply and quietly gets on with his work. Revoking broadcast licences and firing intelligent people is not a sign of integrity.
The dictator- Viper, ngoshi, Sata. Who on earth would voluntarily go and ask for a job from Sata? Thank God Mwamba is saved from the fornication of the serpent.
in your dreams. dream on till 2016 and you will be shocked.
I think i know the man trying to play Chali, proper Chali from Canada can not say such nonsense.
The harder they came the harder they fall.
it seems he touched matters which mattered the most, cancellation of contracts. That could be the deal breaker in this case.
The moment he annuled that big digital contract, his downfall started. The time he reported Amos to ACC, his fate was sealed. The day he fired salvos at Kabimba from GBM battle line, he was marked for death. The day he issued nationwide licences, the grand Ayatollah satanalla issued a fatwa which he personally executed! Mwamba is a freedom fighter!!
Akabe Mwamba……too bad
heheheheheheheheheheh!Yaba
Winter temunobe- even tho mr president you have made an expensive decision, because we are going to have to pay retirement benefits to this -+40 year old.
This is the worst news i have heard today.Emmanuel was a good man.Damn those radio licences yamuletelela umuboiz.I don`t like the king Cobra`s decision here.
Am equally disappointed, giving license can’t be compared to the wild outburst by Kabwamba against his own party, smelling selective justice here or Kabwamba’s secrete PHDs.
too bad indeed.
this must have come from the OP.
am sure…
remember mwamba dribbled kafupi wabufi while pretending to be his personal whatever.
Very sad indeed.
It was not about the Radio stations……Mwamba kept on fighting other peoples’battles and you see now… at 42 years you have been retired. Do you remember the letter Winter wrote to you about professionalism?? You refused to listen and you thought he had no authority….sorry but you need to grow up from this experience and open a new chapter. When one door is closed…many more shall be opened…hopefully.
I cant believe it!
GBM’s boy
I agree with Saolosi here, actually of all the PSs in PF gvnt, Emmanuel Mwamba was the second best ( best being Dr Chileshe Mulenga). Yes Mwamba had some weaknesses like any other human beings, like fighting Wynter for GBM as one of them. But all in all or to a very large extent he was a professional man and most of his actions were good for the nation not just the PF party. He had the interest of the nation at heart.
Br Emmanuel M, may the almighty God be with you continually.
hah retired on national interest. the nation suffocated of press freedom and champions r silenced….. Zambia is cursed….starting thinking positively as we approach 2016..
Emmanuel ‘Fredom of the Media’ Mwamba is now at par with Nelson Mandela and Samora Machel. He did not count his priviledge as something to be protected above the interest of the democratic rights of freedom of speech and press freedom including the freeing of airwaves. That is the power of integrity. To be dismissed from the gathering and debauchery of skunks, crooks and demons is a great honour. I salute for eternity, Emmanual Freedom Mwamba!!
what?
It’s difficult to make sense out of what’s going on here. It’s just very confusing. This country called Zambia!
What integrity bwana, of oppressing the media? This Sata man he has lost it, all this because of Winter, anyway there must be something big behind the scenes which our naked eyes can’t see. God is alive it will resurface one day.
I Salute king cobra. Emwachili. But let him also go for the big fishes that are corrupt
It’s selective justice mwana other ailing memebers are untouchable like Kabwamba.
The man might have erred but you should have written him firing him even before your meeting of embarrassments. In mwamba promoting freedom of speech we didn’t hope to lose money yet on the removal of tax on the export of soils millions should have been lost,,lets see heads row as well if its not kabwamba’s remote moves againest mwamba.
The most useless person to ever occupy state house! The man has no brains whatsoever, this bafoon is running a country? and he’s got supporters? useless!
i agree with you 100% Sata lishilu you cant treat people like animals its a shame to have a useless guy in state house.
You must be a some lost person in the diaspora. Lost touch of your own mother land. I pity you. Never speak like that to our own president. I guess u are “happy” were u are we don’t admire that even a bit coz we are proud of our own mother Zambia. Leave us in peace as u praise a white skin.
iwe ka emmanuel, jump ship and join Upnd now you help fight the cartel.
Mwandi go back to MDD at least you may be president their not UNDP no Chance.
Iwe Chinyama UNDP is a UN organ – no one can be president there!
@15.1 ba mayi bako chinyama ku nini
he with the truth is a dangerous man, Sata wants to protect the elite and not to serve the majority Zambian, its it what is called “IRON LAW OF OLIGARCHY”. when they come to ask for votes they seem to share majority common zambian dream, but when they get into there offices they forget the people they wanted to serve. lesson plan, thankx mr. sata for this, will use it as an example in an exam, and pass.
Mwamba betrayed Chiluba and the Banda administration he can not be trusted, good for him!!
yayi amwamba, chaipa.tinali nao (we were 2gether)!i liked the way u served kafupi,bt since u r now jobless, come & work 4 me! ba mudala tabelela, imagine after all this time he still has a grudge with lubinda- of all pipo.u became 2 loud mune, taba lumba sana, kuti wasuka watuka imfumu!phoenix shud just go the qfm way,on free 2 air.@list sum pipo in farflung have them
Amos Malupenga must be smiling right now.
Mary Magambo is equally smilling…………..God answered your prayers Mary. You will get back your job and continue with The African Safari…What do you think Smart Lungu?
To be fired for doing the right thing is the greatest honour. To dies for the cause of freedom is martyrdom, and we all to this day still celebrate the fallen heros of our independence struggle. Think of Steve Biko, Che Guevara, Winston Churchill, etc. Emmanuel Mwamba is a FREEDOM FIGHTER. He fought for Press Freedom, he contended for Media Freedom, he agitated for Freedom of Speech and Ideas. There can never be perhaps a better reason to be fired than this. He has been inducted in the Hall of Fame. I hereby nominate him for honour and citation as a Press Freedom Fighter to Freedom House:******
I saw it coming
I personally feel Mwamba has not lost anything, but Zambia. Reason? He was one of the most hard working civil servants under the PF regime. Giving nationalwide licences to private media houses is long overdue and Mwamba tried his best to open the airwaves which is a plus! I voted for the PF but at the rate they are going, honestly am scared if they will see my vote and those of my close associates. This country is so much behind and taking information to all corners of the land is what we need! Alas, we shall never see that under the PF. The corrupt will continue to tear apart our country and our poor brothers and sisters in villages will continue eating poverty! Shame!
You are right. How do you honestly work under such leadership? Professionals sit in meetings and make decisions only for them to be reversed the next day by politicians. Insoni!
I like that……Emmanuel Freedom Mwamba. The Media Freedom Midwife…..ki ki ki!! Freedom Mwamba is the big winner in this episode and for eternity!! He has immortalised himself as the one who faced the devilish serpent in the eye and could not be mesmerised upon which the satanic cobra with forked tongue spit on Freedom Mwamba. At that time, the angel of God put a shield of favour on Mwamba and the vernomous spit of satan had no effect on Mwamba. I urge us to open an account for monthly contributions to Freedom Mwamba. For me, I will donate KR7 500 monthly. I mean it.
lelo, lelo, lelo nebo nshaliko, nali ku mabala
How just is the President to retire young people? Dr Martin Malama was retired young, now it is Emmanuel.
What about the President himself and those in his age bracket, are they not the ones who have reached retirement age?
There is too much internal movement in this government. Why was Mwamba moved from Information to Statehouse or Cabinet, and then in a matter of days sacked? Why wasn’t he sacked the day he was relocated in the same capacity to another section of government?
Even Prof. Clive Chirwa was retired. Well, well!
When making decisions don’t rush. Consult all stakeholders, especially your appointing authority. Its a tricky world, full of competition, survival of the fittest, each one or group wanting to be better than others, so many tricks, strategies and tactics and one of them is licence for national coverage. Its about winning the platform, selling your agenda. Those without what it takes cannot know at all. Well, compete.
zambians are slowly going back to the colonial days. Why should one be retired for defending our press freedom rights?
What press freedom? Some things you wait and see. Those who know things deeper get well.
Not convinced with the action. Killing Press freedom. Let him fire the big fish. Every day reshuffles. Unstable government.
Where are the folks or PF cadres who were disputing the fact that Emmanuel Mwamba was fired?
Mwamba was just doing his job honestly and gets fired for it…….. its a shame where are we heading too? Mwamba my brother take heart and remember that ” All things work for the good of them that love the Lord” . God is sparing you from something you shall stand and testify one day, you are still young and have many opportunities ahead of you , keep quite and watch them God will vindicate you!
The battle belongs to the God.
Mwamba… Poor Mwamba, played with fire. Kabimba is untouchable. Know who not to mess with bane
The person that needs to be retired in national interest is president Sata !
That is how the devil works. He attracts you first then dumps you. It is time to spill the beans my man. Mind you Malupenga you wanted to fix is connected to mmembe who is connected to kabimba who is connected to sata. You see the matrix? GBM and company who were using you are queit!
Ubushiku kolwe alefwa imisambo ilatelela.
ya!! LOL u’ve made my day!!
what is this now, is this not poaching…
Next is playboy Anthony mukwita at daily mail who was a puppet of mwamba
Summer Kabimba and cartel wins. in this round: Winter 10 vs GBM 0
GBM li futu!
Yaboka Nsolo!!!
Since we are “All in Government to Eat” how are you going to feed Yourself Mr Mwamba??
No Democracy, pa P.F.
A case of spitting in the wind????
Damn this is Circus. Typical of Sata. I am now convinced the Man is crazy, he is mad and lives to his before independence beliefs. These old people are so backward they are a hindrance to our country’s development. SATA your day will come. Watch out man, no one man is above the law. What goes up will one day come down. I have never seen such a Leader. He has failed Zambians. Useless President.
HD Loudspeaker- He was not Minister but PS. I saw it coming, he was too fact causing a lot of friction all over the country side….!!!! A lesson…!
Thats a good decision so that others could learn as well.In NWP,We are also waiting for the day PS Seyuba wil go.He has messed up and people no longer appreciate PF cos of his bad working habbits.Fire him Mr President twapopwela.Awe muntu wakankalwa kinto bakateka.
He touched the wrong guy… how could he play with Malupenga the way he did? He was too overzealous this country is ruled by Mmembe and his lieutenants and Malupenga is the Lieutenant General!
When one door is closed another is open, don’t rush, relax like given Lubinda.Already everyone knows that you have been ill treated.Don’t open your mouth.Next time learn to consult.
Tht was too quick for the head of state to act mwe!!!
Starting November 1, 2013 we have again Emma Mwamba as a Watchdog reporter!!
lol
Perhaps Sata should go retire and go to jail in national interest instead of Mwamba!!
Personally I feel there was nothing wrong Mwamba did to warrant a dismissal. Instead it is Sata who has a problem. He’s playing to the gallery and things will eventually work against him. Apart from the embarrassment Mwamba has suffered for doing the right thing, there is nothing else that should dampen his spirits because his was a nobble cause for the country. Giving nationwide broadcasting licences is not a crime but the right thing to do. What are Sata and the PF afraid of? This clearly shows you that we have a fraudulent government in place. If these chaps were genuine, they would have applauded Mwamba for the good initiative. I feel we must remove this government by all means because they are taking us backwards. Why are they scared of freedom of expression? Very bad leadership.
Am piste off with this news, people of Zambia i think we are at the cross road seriously we don’t know what is coming nxt. GOD HELP US!
I wish I had air in my ass. I could have pushed it out now in celebration.
Nakatemwa, too bad for mwamba. ……. Mulecindika ba boss by consultn espcialy on bigr dcsions lik tht one. I feel u dzev it Ba Yama coz Chiluba u servd was MCS.’s foe but u wre apointd. U Knew al media hse.z cry 4tht. Dont jst luk at yo jobs’ task bt be Human as wel.
Mmmmmmmmm taciweme bane
Mwamba just go and drink because how will face your family members, your friends, Malupenga?
SAD SAD SAD, I though the retirement age has been raised to 65 years?????
It is a lesson to learn that these old guys, must not be trusted !! I never voted, but at first I supported SATA, but truly, these colours are coming.
Its a good test to see how people will vote for the forthcoming BYE elections!!
Mwamba was big headed and created lot of enemies in the country.
Interesting
Lessons learnt:
1. as a civil servant avoid the media, mwamba liked the media too much.He believed by appearing on media thats the symbol of hard work.
2. As a civil servant never allow politicians to use you.People who used you to fight their political battles are no were to be seen.
3. Never bit the figure that feeds you.
4. When making critical decisions that affects the country; please consult widely.
Good luck!
Come on. Really? Give the guy a chance. Now everyone will be fearful of making decisions simply because of retribution. I am a PF supporter but i am not in agreement with this off the hip decision. The president needs to calm down and not be so sensationally emotional. Why have people gripped in fear and expect them to perform.
I am disappointed cos Mwamba was very hard working and committed.Mr Sata wants people who just follow his instructionsand not use their initiative. Are there no cabinet meetings before major decisions are made?Am worried about this management style.
what would you say about Mary Tembo!!! The lady pretending to be hardworking and holier than thou> what happened?
am not surprised. Mwamba was too overzealous. the man was a jack of all trades. when taken to a new ministry he couldn’t even wait to learn the ropes. for sure the day a monkey falls branches become slippery( Ubushiku kolwe alefwa imisambo ilatelela) I agree with you @27 Brainee.
mwaamba you tromatased malupenga both u are in streets life and leaveing
Amos ‘Hologram’ Malupenga is still PS western Province Sir and not on the street
imwe ba zidani, what do you want to say kanshi? ati tromatised? or ni traumatised ? anyway english yalikosa
GUY SCOTT said it last time that they were giving everybody a chance to stop and behave on their own; and that those that fail to comply and want to continue attacking Kabimba will face the wrath of the law one by one. TRUE. All those that were being used to insult and harass Kabimba without respect are slowly being weeded out one-by-one and this is happening throughout the country. Meanwhile, GBM has gone mysteriously quiet and suddenly he has started supporting everything that Kabimba says. The fact is that Mwamba should not have involved himself in politics, as a civil servant. Amos Malupenga now has the last laugh. NEXT, BRIDGET ATANGA should watch her back and I think now she is realising that she probably made a mistake by chasing after Kabimba. That’s politics for you.
Where is Jean Kapata? Nao aingila mu chani?
What about Binwell Mwansa Kapeya? I am sure he knew what 2was going on and was definitely consulted and gavea go ahead.
Sad, very sad indeed. This simply shows that politicians are the same. Don’t and never trust them. They save their own interest, not yours.
Most bloggers are assuming this guy has been fired for not consulting on the national radio and TV licences. I think the main reasons is what the president mentioned last ….. I.e. “Using the ministry to fight his political battles”. This was a damn serious accusation coming from a head of state.
You are 100% right….boss
That is the way now Mr. President……….
This Satan, is something else. Let him get his head checked.
@Tembo Mulenga you are right, fighting a political battle in his government. How can you fight a Secretary general and justice minister? don’t ever play with fire Mr Mwamba. fighting a cabinet minister even if i was a president i can fire him .those were total indiscipline from MR MWAMBA. The best he would have done was to apologies to MR KABIMBA after he sent him a warning letter than start challenging him in the media. anyway you are still young you find another job but be careful next time.
This is not about Emmanuel. This is about press freedom and freedom of information,. Freedom of information is not just for the journalists and media but also for the citizens. Someone has been fired for giving licences to radio stations that they may cover the country. That is a shame. This is the birth of dictatorship. The President mentioned among his reasons that HH can be covered countrywide if private radio stations are allowed to beam countrywide. These radio stations will not be airing privately to individuals. They will be airing publicly. THere are regulations that govern content. It is easy to monitor them. Abash press muzzling.
Do you still want dual citizenship lol…
Unshackle the Press!! Freedom…..freedom…….freeeeeedooooommmmmmm…freeeeeeeeddddoooommmmm……….!!!! Emmanuel Mwamba is the midwife in our struggle to birth freedom of expression……he is a life preserve and usher. We salute you Mwamba………you are now Emmanual Freedom Mwamba.
Man!! I read the first four words and was overjoyed!
Too bad I didn’t see the rest of the words till my boss come over to see what the celebrating was about.
Next time.
#OneZambia
the can is open… tiyenayo!
The CARTEL holding the president at ransom has done its job. You attack Malupenga one of Mmembe’s boys you think you will be safe?
TOO BAD FOR THE NATION
Speculations, no one knows the truth that made Mwamba to be fired by his “father”, Sata.
Only Sata knows the erroneous corruption Mwamba was involved in. You might like him as a person, but he was just a number of a family tree in PF.
Good news indeed.
No one knows the facts, Mwamba was erroneously corrupt. Wait for the truth.
Anyway, good news.
Ka Kabimba konse aka…
Munkombwe clearly states that “it is politics of the belly”Don’t make noise, just eat your share quietly. Its not service now,it is saving money to use when you are retired in National interest.
The CARTEL holding the president at ransom has done its job. You attack Malupenga one of Mmembe’s boys you think you will be safe?
A dark cloud is hanging over Zambia. I have a big FEAR that someone at the helm of Govt is VERY SICK. The nation should go into serious PRAYER to WISH HIM QUICK RECOVERY before the mental disorder drives Him to commit SUICIDE. God Hear Our Prayers.
King Cobra has done it again like we always know him, it has been a tough week for Emmanuel Mwamba. Mr. president maybe we need to remind you about press freedom in Zambia, it should be about Zambia people enjoying and having access to information, so it should NOT be about retiring Mr. Mwamba for doing a right thing. Ndemonamo umungulu mu li SATA.
No way the president said that. Is this really true. as in true true? WOW!!
Mwamba sold FTJ and gave a lot of information about MMD to PF that is how he earned his appointments and firm, but he grew big headed and thought he could do as he wished. In Lenje they say `nakasha balalya ko inuka` which means Impala you should be grazing and lifting your head to check what could pose a danger to your life. Mwamba thought he was very clever. He has gotten what he deserves. I hope he saved or stole enough.
awe ba president naimwe this is not on… Why mwamba? Mmembe, kabimba, scott almost threatened peace of the nation by issuing inflamatory statements. Mr president, mmembe called you a lunatic and all sorts of insults you are just ndwii, why!!
awe ba president naimwe this is not on… Why mwamba? Mmembe, kabimba, scott almost threatened peace of the nation by issuing inflamatory statements. Mr president, mmembe called you a lunatic and all sorts of insults you are just ndwii, why!! Mmembe really holds this nation to rasom no talking anymore.
He was a Catalyst of confusion and not the author of peace. Never plan evil! never try God, Leadership comes from God. I will support every gvt that comes by the day.
Where are his pay masters NOW
People who sale drugs have one cardinal rule and that is ” Do not get high on your own supply”.
Whats the difference between retirement in national interest and retirement in public interest
When you’re retired in national interest, you get no benefits. In public interest you do and may even be posted in diplomatic mission
ubuteko bwama shilu. failed project indeed!
Has been retired at his young age? does this mean he is entitled to a pension? Just say he has been dismissed. These chaps really believe Zambians are so dozy.
I am recommending to the Legislature and judiciary to start impeachment proceedings against MCS by invoking article 37 of the constitution. He is not fit to be Head of State of Zambia. The president is being blackmailed by the oligarchy and the cartel. We need to protect the integrity of the country. Mwamba was just safe guarding our freedom and ensuring that the cartel’s grip of information channels in Zambia are clipped. We entrusted our country into the hands of criminals.
Remember your colleague Charles-Louis de Secondat, baron de La Brède et de Montesquieu, who declared it the best way to safeguard liberty is to have seperation of powers and thereby limit such excess as………”don’t use my ministry to fight your own political battles, …………., don’t use my Government,”
I want an account opened from Freedom Mwamba and also I will donate k3500 monthly. This man Mwamba “Freedom of airwaves” is braver than a lion!!!
BA Mwamba. Please celebrate I am so happy for you and praying for you. God really loves you, praise his name. Mwali mu Mimbulu iitakanya, You were amongst the INFIDELS and I am sure you knew. The only casualty in all this is the so called President Sata . KK and Mmembe eba LUCIFA The bible tells us that in the end LUCIFA will be visible. The good thing is that Yes alichimfya kaleeee! Emmanuel you are so blessed don’t even look back focus on Jesus
I simply say AMEN!!! Ba Mwamba, when the devil closes one stinking door, Jehovah Jireh opens innumerable doors filled with blessings. Keep your eyes and ears open for good is rushing to you right now!!!
Between the person firing or whatever and the one retired, who should have gone first?
Mwamba, Mr Freedom of the Press, is the biggest winner! Better be fired for doing the correct thing. Better be arrested for fighting for freedom!!!
On this one I agree with the President. How can one give licence to a radio station/tv station without doing background checks of the foreign shareholders who tried to enter Zambian media houses through backdoor?
Erol is selfish on this one. He was expecting sale value to go up once countrywide licence is granted and foreigners take over his station.
This is a sad development for progressive leadership and a missed opportunity to shape the young. If Emmanuel had made a mistake which in my case is not he should have been reprimanded and guided. Emmanuel championed a patriot agenda, it is a shame that a true leader has been dismissed but this is part of growth. Emmanuel has presidential qualities, those close to him should advise him to be calm and take the needed steps to define his political agenda before 2016. Joining MMD and the like of Nevers Mumba, Muhabi, MP Mulusa could be a strategic decission. PF has lost visionary leadership but this is an opportunity to rally behind Nevers Mumba and Co. Dont look back brother – God has something better for you ahead
I concur. Emmanuel Mwamba is a Press Freedom figher. He must be honoured for risking and losing a government job for fighting to secure what all honest zambians have wished for: media freedom; liberating of airwaves and stopping the despotic monopoly of president of national communication. You have fought a good fight Emmanuel Mwamba. I induct you as a Hero in Feedom House.
Emmanuel is a true chibomba milimo, good servant
Emmanuel was so objective and refused to lick their boots..he’s such a good guy..UPND take up the youngman..
Please dont incite him to join politics. I would rather he joined the UN or OAU so that he can fight for press freedom internationally. His CV has been made and cannot be disputed.
Sata is a man of action now I know 2016 is for him again
I love freedom of speech more than any politician and Mr Sata is not an exception whatever appendage you give him. Come 2016, I will vote. And my voter’s card will endorse freedom of expression, freedom of airwaves, rule of law and entrenchment of democracy. I did it in 1991 and I will did it again in 2016.
I shall not say farewell to you Emmanuel, for faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens. You have shown us what excellence means in public service. Those that have worked with you can attest to this fact. Most of us are capable of reading between lines, and are thus well aware of the real reasons why you have been retired. Our consolation though is that even when you have been retired, your soul is not tired. And that is what matters. Bravo Emmanuel, Bravo!
Emmanuel ‘freedom’ Mwamba has been ushered into the group of those that fight for what is right despite the severe consequences. Isnt that the mark of a great man. No, its no farewell : it is a BIG welcome to sanity, humanity and freedom of the press!!
@ Bbupendomapanje, yes indeed, that is a mark of a great man.
… is a man of fiction now I know 2016 is for someone else.
This is long overdue. If it were me, I would not have in the first place given him any position. The chap under Chiluba was too stubborn. Just from the day he was appointed NP PS, I questioned the rationale behind that appointment but I just concluded that Sata has a forgiving heart. Atleast he was even given that opportunity but because he joined hands with bena GBM,Nsanda and other crooks to try and disturb the leadership of the PF using his positions, he could not be allowed to continue. Mind you, Sata knows that chap and his crookedness very well. He was FTJ’S student of master dribbling, thus ba mudala could not allow him to continue doing that under his leadership.Atleast as a parent, Sata gave him time to try and change by putting him in defferent ministries but the guy can’t…
I wish to advise and seriously so that “The Press Builds and also Destroys”. Mwamba was overzealous with using the Press to portray himself as a Hardworker on, everything, everywhere, anywhere, anyhow, anything, anybody. As Permanent Secretary for Information you are not PS for News – you implement and monitor policy implementation of Government. Mwamba became news himself – everyday, every news item, every TV coverage, every Radio Bulletin. The Press also should refrain from following the PS Information everyday, everyweek for him/her to churn out “News”. I beg that any new PS should not preoccupy himself/herself with making news or being a perpetual newsmaker. Mwamba with his Big Body and Big Mouth destroyed himself. His is Political Suicide.

Sata’s day is coming soon when he will sweat. Mwamba is still in the game. Knowing him, he is a very smart guy who has the country at heart. The Zambian people have lost what they deserve. What a shame. Pf is afraid of its own shadow. Sata is making his party very unpopular. He rules by default and its frightening. Am in diaspora and am Zambian like anybody else. We will continue castigating the current govt until the people win or sata develop a brain tumor.
Whose national Interests? This is in government interests. Access to unbiased information for all is what qualifies at national interest. Ubukopo ba Kateka. We are not stupid. Mr. Mwamba is not the stupid either for giving people access to information. That leaves someone else… and we all know who it is.
mistakes are easy to make but very difficult to correct people from the north are watching what is happening to their children
