Acting Lusaka District chairman Julius Komaki says his group which has rejected Justice Minister Wynter Kabimba was non-violent and only used banners to register their belief that Wynter could not lead the Patriotic Front.
Appealing to Zambians and particularly PF officials across the country to be peaceful in their resolve against Wynter and the cartel, Komaki said that all peace loving Zambians must reject Kabimba’s agenda for the nation as it will set the country on fire.
In an interview with the Daily Nation, Komaki who has been admitted in the University Teaching Hospital where he is receiving treatment after he had his neck sliced with a panga, blamed the violence on a militia.
Komaki observed that if his group believed in violence they would have been armed as they had the capacity to do so but that they were peace loving individuals and their only mission was to protect the presidency which was under siege and threatened by inimical characters.
He said that there was overwhelming evidence that his group was non-violent as shown in the many pictures where the only weapon carried was the messages on placards denouncing Kabimba as party secretary general and Justice Minister.
He said that he w as aware that he was the major target by Kabimba’s camp but that he believed in the justice system of the country, adding that Kabimba was misleading President Sata and putting the country’s presidency at risk.
“He is the President of this country and not Wynter, and he will be held responsible for these killings. People don’t know Wynter Kabimba, he is there because of President Sata and if he doesn’t act now, soon people will hold him accountable for these killings,” said Komaki.
I thought Sata declared the Lusaka District Chair vacant and no one was appointed to act?

The presidency is under siege. It is no the President under siege, it is the institution of the presidency, that we revere more than the office holder, that is under siege. The earlier we get out of our 10 – year slumber, the better and earlier we will checkmate these disciples of international trade and new world order. Chiluba complained of a clique that wants to run government outside government. And for sure, the clique is doing a “good” job of it with the current regime. I may as well postulate that Mwanawasa was assassinated (I believe that this has not been ruled out the mysterious death of the late president) for his about, with, by and for Zambia and Zambians stance.

Politics are the proverbial still waters run deep adage. What Komaki is saying is deeper than we may comprehend. Firstly the position he is holding was dissolved but again he is the acting Chair. He says he is protecting the president (Presidency) who gave him such a mandate? I believe the all buck falls on Mr Sata and both his hands are in this but either he does not want to come open about the two powerful sources of this problem (Winter and GMB). I wonder if we are safe in this country if the unexpected happened to our president (like what happened to late Mwanawasa). The leadership in PF cannot contain the situation as they seem to have no respect for order and the vice president (Guy Scott) is not at all regarded by this guys.
If the unthinkable happened to the President, then we have Rwanda/Burundi genocide reincarnate on our hands. Period.

(1) In what capacity did Kamoki mount the road block?
(2) Does kamoki or any other ordinary person have the power to mount road blocks?
(3) Does mounting an illegal road block amount to a means of peace or protectining the President or expressing one’s views?
(4) If kamoki did not mount that road block would he have been hacked?
(5) Was mounting of an illegaL ROAD BLOCK not an act of violence?
So what answers has Kamoki got to these questions and many more? Theb chap must just be arrested. He should be chained in that bed.

I like his determination. Many after being sliced like that could have kept quiet. Look at Chikwelete, a coward and yet Komaki is soldiering on. When pressure was applied on him, he backed down. It is better to die with your principles otherwise could be bought for large sum of money.
