The Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI) has called on the Patriotic Front (PF) top leadership to stop using youths in their in fights but resolve their differences amicably.
Speaking in an interview with QFM News, YALI Executive Director, Andrew Nthewewe says youths should not be used as tools of violence by the PF senior officials but must work on a common goal of promoting peace among the youths.
Mr. Nthewewe says his organization is disappointed by the continued use of youths by some senior PF leaders in resolving their wrangles which has led to the loss of life.
Mr. Nthewewe says President Michael Sata should take full responsibility for the confusion that has rocked the ruling party which is posing a danger to the lives of innocent people.
He notes that the behavior exhibited by the PF cadres must come to an end because it does not inspire confidence in the eyes of the Zambian youths.
And Zambia Youth Association in the Fight Against Corruption Executive Director Rickson Kanema has warned that senior PF officials allegedly instigating the violence by PF cadres risk facing trial at the International Criminal Court.
Mr Kanema says the PF leadership should not pretend but deal with the root cause of the violence which well known.
He has appealed to President Michael Sata to find a lasting solution to the root cause of the violence in the ruling party once and for all.
Mr Kanema has also appealed to the Police to pursue the people who are instigating the violence instead of arrest the youths who are merely being used.
When your nickname is cobra,you never smile and you dress down your ministers in public then its pretty much a foregone conclusion you’ll incubate and breed violence in your party.A cactus never yields mangoes,does it?
Generally, all political parties in Zambian history have abused their cadres especially ruling party cadres are abused most, to settle political scores.
this is not new just like Zambians watching as the mayhem unfolds right under their noses is equally not new.
we are just a horribly docile people who love talking politics too much at the expense of real development………shame
Dont tell them sue the party!
@cindy
you dont that a criss (war, fights, confusion.. etc) presents opportunities .. when sue other make money which would used positively in other ways..
private clinics also need those panged bloody wounds so that charge double as the provide a better services..
and this also an opportinity for pf as a party to screen and check their leaders and see who is wise enough to take them forward
@Ndobo,
Hihihihi… very funny but actually true only Zambia doesnt need such kind of opportunities, already it is involved in a “silent developmental war” should the Machete war accelerate, am afraid that would be the end of Zambia. Oh just typing these awful words scares me to death, Zambians dont know how to fight, even just how to survive such calamities for someone out there has been kind enough to keep them safe for as long as i can recall, i hope someone is not trying to do the “if i go down i bring everyone with me” what else can one make out of this kind of actions were even no official statement has sufficed or serious action taken to send a warning?
I am a strong PF fan not cadre but LADIES and GENTLEMEN, join me in condemning the VIOLENCE in PF in the strongest terms. ALL Lusaka PF youth members involved in the fracas should be brought to book now. those lazy imbeciles should not be encouraged to bring noise and halt serious developmental activities at all.
But why hide your name. Come out in open.
You are PF? are u a Kaponya? because only Kaponyas have remained in PF.
PF ki linja za mitanganyo!
Cindy suing is useless unless we can collect something from them, that’s why I like developed nations , attorneys will jump for this opportunity to make money
@ chikwanda,
Imagine how simple and straight forward certain things are in some parts of the world? In Zambia you just talk and keep talking words which fall on death ears until you talk no more, i think and know that other things are not supposed to be corrected through talking but deserve punishment period!
Ba Yali ,mulitupuba just like oder big fo ols u chose 2 ignore wat z de real couse of dis demonic acts. lf u were wise enough u should’ve even shown appreciations 2 pf who’s said no 2 thugs controlling markets,bus stops&illegal access 2 land.
Where are the ministers and all the deputy ministers to condemn this barbaric act! They might wake up a bit late when they will be wanted by ICC for war crimes. Napapata send the msg to these youths that we do not need violence in Zambia
PF Cadre died a natural death
The youth are willing partners. Komaki felt the brunt of violence and is busy preaching peace in UTH. Had the victims been the loathed opposition especially UPND, Komaki would have been speaking a different language. Rather sad.
y is every one afraid to say its willi nsanda and the fat one fighting ,not so powerful witter .sickiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ,the two r a bad combination mu station too muck kaili
