The opposition Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) has said that former republican president Rupiah Banda should be left alone.
MMD president Nevers Mumba Has told Qfm News that it was sad and frustrating to see people with negative motives trying to drag the former head of state into responding to issues that are in bad taste.
Dr. Mumba said that Mr Banda’s contribution to the governance of the country through advice is a privilege to everyone regardless of which political party one belongs.
The MMD president said that Zambians should not indulge in petty politics.
He added that all those speaking ill about former President Rupiah Banda do not understand what they are talking about.
I bet he is indirectly telling off George Mpombo !

Toronto, the hired missile.This is just Sata politics.Surely out of all the more than 50 Diplomats who were recalled,only Dr Mumba has a problem.In fact all the Zambian Embassies who had financial anomalies as stated by the Auditor General are not being querried by Sata’s Government.If Dr Mumba had not opted to become MMD President,Sata would have left him alone.His case is politically motivated.

I wish to agree with President Nevers Mumba ,and i think every well meaning Zambian in my opinion could see sense in Mumba’s advice.
In agreeing with Mumba,i want to be spot on and advise the “CONVICT” hon George Mpombo to fight his personal battles without involving innocent people, in this case Rupia Banda,it is very difficult for any normal person to see the relationship between RB and Mpombo”s cases in court which lead to his conviction.
Mpombo claims to be presidential material,and even went ahead to form a political party,but just this singular show of hatred towards Rb,is evidence enough to show that he is not presidential material,to me,he clearly comes out as a very petty person and i wonder what kind of people he has as his followers,if he has any that is.Mpombo must…
Dr Mumba, tell RB to stay out of politics, I am pretty sure then no one will bother him serve for the law after his past deeds. As long as he remains actively involved in politics, which I think you are ignoring, he deserves a political answer/response

Any where in the World where former leaders behaved well while in leadership, there has been no problem. But leaders who stole and mistreated people all over the world have had thick….
