FIVE Patriotic Front (PF) officials in Kasama District have been suspended from the party for alleged gross misconduct.

The five officials holding various positions at district and constituency level were Dyness Chisanga, Helen Chisanga, Bernard Chanda, Bernadette Chanda and Abraham Mulenga who have been charged with gross misconduct.

Mr Mulenga however, had an extra charge of acting disrespectfully and dishonestly against the party leadership.

All letters with the exception of the one addressed to Kasama Central constituency chairperson Abraham Mulenga were signed by the PF Northern provincial secretary Everest Chela.

Mr Mulenga’s letter which was signed PF Kasama district vicechairperson John Chilopa accused him of refusing to be part of a collective decision by the party in the province to sign a petition seeking disciplinary action against former defence minister Geoffrey Mwamba.

“The behaviour and action you exhibited on that day was tantamount to being disrespectful and dishonest to the party. You are therefore, charged and given four days to exculpate yourself. Meanwhile, you are suspended from party activities,” the letter read.

The other four were charged with gross misconduct and acting dishonestly.

“You recall that on January 4, the party called on all members to meet and present a petition to the PF central committee on Mr Mwamba. You were given choice of either siding with the party or an individual.

“You came for the meeting and ganged up together (with other suspended officials) with the intention of disrupting the event opting not to participate. You publicly declared that you will go flat out to destroy the PF in Kasama central constituency,” read the letters.

They were also advised they would remain suspended from the party until their fate was determined by a select disciplinary committee of the province.

  1. PF is a “chumbu mushololwa”.

This Bemba language phrase refers to a sweet potato that breaks when it is bent and is used to describe someone who does not listen to advice.

    • What ideology exactly does PF stand for? It looks like its all about bootlicking Sata and his irrational knee jerk ideals.I can’t wait to see hwta happens to PF after Sata goes.

  2. It is easy to destroy and difficulty to build. I am getting concerned at the rate PF is tearing itself without realizing that 2016 is just between now and after next year. If the president says I will follow Madiba’s style as he used to say that I was a counselor, a Governor, a minister and closer to the president, now what will I need- “nibukateka”, and then happens to step down, then he will go with his party.

    APAKOMAILA INOONDO PALI UBULEMA

  3. Where is the problem in PF? What is the root cause of these problems in PF? Is there no one who can stop all what is happening? Are there no wise or educated people in PF to sort out this problem once and for all?

  4. “chumbu mushololwa” is simply someone’s opinion of another. Unless one is really a “chumbu mushololwa”, there is no cause for all this hullabaloo. I’m sure lawyers will be smiling all the way to the courts, …. and the banks.

  5. Kwena ukulanda fye icishinka mufuma cumi, nshatalamonapo ibumba mwaba abantu bafulungana nga ba PF. Where are all these confusions coming from mwe bantu ? Kwena, i wasted my vote in 2011 to vote for PF. ubupuba fye bweka bweka cila bushiku, ninshi kanshi ? elo cilempampwisha nici, cakuti mwaba abamapala nemfwi abengi abashikweta nobwafwilisho kwibumba nomba cakupapa abaleafwilishako ukulundako ubupuba.

    • We all know WHO the problem is.

In fact you know. And I know that you know. And You know that I know that you Know.

  6. My advise to you Kasama District PF officials is that two wrongs do not make a right. That agenda of suspending officials for any simple wrong doing is not the correct remedy to problems. Your decision is a step in the direction of weakening your party PF. Am not a politician my only interest is that Am getting concerned what is prevailing in my district Kasama. Can you think of something more constructive to resolve those simple problems rather than suspensions and expulsion. What you are doing, I can assure you is instilling confusion in your party. I can urge authority at higher level to intervene. DO NOT LOCK THE DOOR WHEN THE HORSE HAS BEEN STOLEN!

    • Avivyokwene. Avino chaya. Upuwa ukufuma ku nkonkotela kwene yame. Lelo lemasya uwaezya ukuyanena lyonsi kwene. Ngu wikolo Cela nawe ciza uli mwe yantu yakwe Leza? Uwi twafwa twasila mwe.

  7. There is a management problem in PF. Jungle law seems to be the order well appreciated and applied in PF. I cry to see such human beings managing a country of 13 million people.Things can only get worse.

  8. Eastern Province, people will slaughter this man if his not care. Elo coup ku zambezi inga wame. it is free for all, the zambezi river is just flowing freely.

  9. PamaFiii ( PF) is a party where cadres are more powerful than their president, they can even threaten to fire the Secretary General and any member of the party at any given time.

  10. The beginning of the acceleration of PF destruction has started by the Northern Province PF Chairman Peter Mwansa and his Secretary Evarist Chela. The same spirit has been transferred to Hon. Kambwili who has started to tear PF in Luanshya. I think this is the same spirit that will cost PF in Northern Province for the failure of PF government to recognize Chitimukulu Henry Sosala as a chief. For PF to survive, it needs to cast out this spirit. Stubbornness (chumbu mushololwa) doesn’t pay and is expensive. Zambians are watching. Let me remind PF members, stubbornness of RB cost him an election. PF did not win the election because it was popular, it was because MMD was stubborn. PF should learn to listen from the people and take a leaf from MMD
