GOVERNMENT has condemned in the strongest terms the culture of lawlessness among political party cadres.
Acting Chief Government Spokesperson Fackson Shamenda said Government is particularly concerned that a person of United Party for National Development (UPND) leader Hakainde Hichilema’s standing would sink so low as to use vulnerable sections of society to engage in lawlessness for his political capital.
“We have enough lessons to learn from what is happening in other countries and Zambia cannot afford the luxury of descending into such anarchy.
A case in point is Monday’s fracas at Woodlands Police Station where opposition UPND cadres clashed with police when their leader Mr. Hakainde Hichilema was summoned there,” he said.
He said Government is particularly disappointed that this happened in total disregard of prior police warning for the UPND party cadres to stay away from the police station when their leader was called there.
Mr Shamenda said the impunity and disregard for law and order exhibited by the UPND cadres on Monday is unacceptable and perpetrators are warned of stern action in line with the provisions of the law.
“Government has a duty to protect life and property and will therefore not allow a break down of law and order at the hands of irresponsible and undisciplined party cadres regardless of their political affiliation,” he added.
Mr Shamenda said in a statement released yesterday that Zambians have nothing to gain from such selfish acts, except to plant seeds of lawlessness, disunity and disorder in the nation.
Mr Shamenda who is also Labour and Social Security minister warned Government will not allow acts of deliberate provocation of law enforcement agencies in their course of duty to maintain law and order.
On Monday, police and UPND cadres clashed at Woodlands police station where a warn and caution statement was recorded from Mr Hichilema for alleged publication of false news with intent to cause fear and alarm to the public.
The acting Chief Government Spokesperson also described as unacceptable attacks attributed to MMD vice president for politics Michael Kaingu that the Anti-Corruption Commission is shielding corrupt Ministers.
“This is a transparent and accountable Government which has nothing to hide. Dr. Kaingu, like any other citizen, is free to approach the ACC on any matter of concern to him and not issue malicious allegations in the media against Government leaders which he cannot substantiate,” Mr Shamenda said.
Mr Shamenda said contrary to Dr Kaingu’s allegations, Government had proved beyond doubt that it is neither selective nor protective of certain individuals in the crusade against corruption.
He said the fact that there are so many cases of alleged corruption being investigated or before the courts of law is testimony that there are no sacred cows in the fight against corruption under the PF Government.
Ba Shamenda mulichipuba. Why did you keep quiet when the Panga Family caused chaos in Lusaka leading to the death of a Zambian? At your age you lack wisdom. Little wonder we have a mampara at stae house.
Don’t go to far, yesterday those PF militia in Matero where on Muvi TV looking for councilor Pio. The PF Youth chairman of Matero even confessed on camera that he was the one who beat up people in markets and at BICOGA church.
Where is Mwansa Kapeya, he speaks better than that dirty Shamenda.
He needs to shave made he will start thinking using his head.

Mr.Shamenda should merely pressurize his President Michael Chilufya Sata to have Winter Kabimba removed from his position as Justice Minister while the Tribunal to probe him does its work.
Iwe “Shame menda” why are so stu.pid as to issue statements that implicate you and your party in the first place. UPND have only engaged in those acts to fight selective justice and to prevent their leader from being harassed by your police.
You remained mute when PF hacked one young man to death and then instructed the police to steal his body and bury it without informing his parents. This week in matero, your cadres confessed to causing problems and beating up worshipers . But again your stu.pid government has failed to act and arrest the culprits when the evidence is out there in the open.
For you to point an accusing finger at a peaceful party UPND, you and leader Sata must all be mad for sure. You should learn to walk the talk before you expect the others to follow.
UPND…
Ciwamila Galu kuluma Mbuzi! Mr. Shamenda u must be ashamed of ur statements!
Shame Mr. Shame-nda. Don’t insult the intelligence of Zambians with your baseless threats.
We know that the PF(Police Force) are under strict instructions from the Boss of the PF (Panga Family, Paya Farmer) to make sure that they LOCK DOWN UPND at what ever cost. When HH makes any statement, the entire PF media is out condemning. Any slight intention by UPND to gather (even peacefully) is met with the maximum force from ZPF. How many threats has Libongani given the UPND?
Where was Libongani when PF thugs reigned terror in the Lusaka – not one, not twice but several times? Where was ZPF when the thugs in Kasama harrassed HH, Father Bwalya, Chipimo etc? Where was Jere when these hooligans terrorised Mkaika, Choongwe, Livingstone, Mpongwe.
Be warned Shame-nda, Zambia is watching.
ITS THE SMALL EDIOTS TALKING THE BIG EDIOT IS VERY SICK AT HOUSE NO 1 AWAITING 21 DAYS NATIONAL MOURNING
“Viwoneni vimasilu” – RB.
Because Sata is naturally a shrewd person, he has decided to surround himself with mules, who he’s using mercilessly to achieve his goals whilst they don’t realize it’s their individual reputation at stake!
@Judge why 21 days national mourning??? Can’t we do it the Moslem way bury within a day before 4pm. Shouldn’t waste anymore money or time on him. After all he only works for 30mins at the most in a day.

Zambians can judge for themselves if these are fair words from the government. We lost a life at some point, how did the PF government react? God have mercy, sacred cows are left free because they are sacred, but remember where you spend eternity when you die? Repent of your sinful dealings.
Shamenda you are just another clueless i diot, just shut up.
Hypocrite!
You can’t spell Shamenda without “shame” .Thats why he’s a hypocrite bcoz he’s numb to shamefulness.
@Tumbuka pride
I like your caricature of Shamenda. His proper name is “Shame Menda.” Busy trying to mend shame caused by the PF.
Shamenda, uleitwala fye ku nanwa ka nkalamu. What UPND are doing is not violence. They are merely showing you that you are not managing politics of the country efficiently. Violence is what is happening in your own PF party. The in-fighting with pangas. You hate each other so much that you even forget about developing our Zambia. Yet mulefola utuma kwacha twesu tulipila tax. So, as for you F………,n, mind your mind.
Hehe… PF cadres caused so much confusion and one was killed in Lusaka and we were told that was healthy as it proved that PF is a vibrant party. Ehe this is animal farm at its best.
this man needs to grow up infact he should just retire he not in touch with reality, hes as dull.as they come
look who is condeming violence – the guy from the father of violence party. when your party, political fools (PF) were killing and maming innoncent citizens in Lusaka, you and your Sata were just ndwii!!
These chumbus seem to have selective
memory. Was it HH or Kaingu who stormed
the ACC offices with cadres and news crews
when they were summoned for
questioning? Was it an opposition leader
who arrogantly stated on national television
in the presents of a cabal of cadres that
their corruption questioning at ACC was of
national interest so the cadres were
welcome? I don’t think so! It was your
foolish and arrogant Kabimba! For your
information baFakson baswine, you twits
are supposed to be leaders, meaning that
whatever you do publicly is seen as an
example to be followed by the masses.
Therefore Kabimba as one of our so called
leaders set a precedent which the
opposition is just following. If you want to
treat us as children we will behave as such,
meaning we will copy…
Yaba Shamenda naiwe, do you realise your kids probably read Lusaka Times and can see how you are insulted left right and centre because you insist on displaying your i.diocy, nay s.tupidity in public? I suggest you read your statement and see whether it makes sense to you. M.oron!!
Plus visit Zambian Watchdog iwe chi Shamenda for even juicier insults coz maybe thats how you get your kicks. It’s the only plausible reason i could come up with to explain your unbelievably s.tupid statement.
HON SHAMENDE do we even think before taking?
You leave a log in your own eye and here you are trying to remove a peak in another persons eye, dose it make sense. There where U are just in matelo your Panga family are still doing lawlessness acts fight amongst each other. That is why some say for you to be in pf you must be mentally disturbed I agree with them.
With due respect Sr be quick to listen and observe before giving any statement then you will a gud leader.
NO SHAME EVEN TO OPEN HIS MOUTH.
WE ARE NOT STUPID.

SHAMELESS SHAMENDA
SHAMELESS GOVERNMENT
YOU FIRED NURSES BUT THREATENED SHOPRITE OWNERS WITH CLOSURE FOR WANTING TO FIRE SHOPRITE WORKERS.
THERE IS THE NO CONSISTENCY.
SHAME!!
Trivio!
What do you expect from cadres who consider animals as sleeping buddies?
@1.4 e.K,
You bembas are indeed a rare breed, why do you think Zambia belongs to you only. You talk of ‘tamwakatekeko Zambia’, really?
The people of Zambia have given you a chance to govern but you have totally failed and resorted to plunder, corrupt practices, kutolafye and fighting among yourselves for the presidency. It reminds me of monkeys that invade a maize field to ravage everything in sight. Leave Tongas alone and concentrate on destroying each other in Kasama.
IM JUST THINKING ALOUD ,HAS HONOURABLE WILLIAM HARRINGTON STARTED CONSIDERING HOW A COMMISSION OF INQUIRY CAN BE IMMEDIATELY SET UP TO PROBE THIS FINANCE MINISTER ABC TO SEE IF HE IS NOT DRIVING THIS COUNTRY INTO THE HIPC ERA WITH HIS BRINKMANSHIP FISCAL STRATEGY,BY TOTALLY WITHOUT DUE REGARD REFUSING TO LISTEN ESTABLISHED AUTHORITIES ON FISCAL MATTERS SUCH HONS MAGANDE,NAWAKWI AND MANY OTHERS HE SO CALLS STREET PEOPLE.ANYWAY TIME WILL TELL AND HE WILL BE ANSWERABLE TO THIS SOON.CAN YOU IMAGINE THAT THERE IS CHAOS IN EVERY DIRECTION OF PF MISRULE ,CAN WE ALLOW A FAILED ZAMBIA WHEN GOD IN HIS GOODNESS HAS BLESSED US WITH COLLECTIVE WISDOM? PEPE AISHA
Shameless geriatric demagogue suffering from selective amnesia induced by unjustifiable sense of power obtained by means of clear deception of millions of Zambians.
If Zambians knew about the power of the subconcious mind it would help. This country is full of prophets of doom, failures, insults and disrespect of all people. There is no constructive criticism which can be given while saddled with insults. People need to learn to talk in a peaceful, loving and constructive tone. It is embarrassing that Zambians cannot debate anything without resorting to insults.
From the 13th Jan. 2014, this monday South Africans have been debating the issue of a pastor who asked his church members to eat grass. Atheists and Christians are able to debate their views without using words like stup!d, f00lish, id!ot and all the unpalatables the Zambians hail at each other.
This government is not perfect, but it most definately doesn’t deserve the language here!
