Dr Ludwig Sondashi, the inventor of the Sondashi Formular 2000 HIV herbal remedy has claimed that over 400 people have been cured off HIV after taking his medicine.
Dr Sondashi said his herbal remedy is like a Gold mine which Zambia should seriously explore to address the HIV pandemic.
He said many Zambians including some Ministers in the PF government are taking the Sondashi Formular which is also known as SF 2000.
Dr Sondashi reaffirmed that the SF 2000 is a proven cure for HIV and AIDS.
He was speaking Sunday evening when he featured on ZNBC TV’s Sunday Interview programme.
“I don’t understand why the Zambian government has been reluctant on this issue. Since I discovered the medicine in 2000, only the late Mwanawasa’s government showed seriousness to developing this medicine commercially, its bad he died but the other Presidents including President Sata have not really shown so much interest in this medicine. This is a Gold mine, if Zambia became serious with this innovation, it could solve a lot of problems, we would stop borrowing and youth unemployment would be gone,” Dr Sondashi said.
He added, “Many people have being cured after taking my medicine, I think over 400 people are on our records. Some people don’t report back but last week I received a call from one of my patients in Chipata called that he has been cured and said he is willing to be interviewed on national TV and he agreed, I will arrange for his travel so that ZNBC could interview him.”
He revealed that the SF 2000 has been proven to have safety and efficacy components able to cure HIV as stated by the first clinical trials conducted on 10 patients by late Dr Patrick Chikusu.
“Dr Chikusu’s findings were further authenticated by a panel of scientists in South Africa at a reputable laboratory who found that the medicine was able to kill the HIV virus,” he said.
Dr Sondashi revealed that he discovered the herbal remedy when he set out in pursuit of medicine to cure his Son who later died.
“I was motivated to go out and search for herbs when my Son was ill and conventional medicine failed to cure him, so I went village to village asking people if they knew of any herbs that could cure him and I collected a number of herbs and I just heard something in me directing me to add the herbs together, I think it was just an act of God.”
He also accused western governments of blocking the recognition of his medicine because they have an interest in the manufacturing and supplying of ARVs to Africa.

And Dr. Sondashi has revealed that despite lack of good will by government some Ministers believe in his medicine and some are even taking it.
Speaking when he featured on Sunday Interview programme on ZNBC Television monitored by Zambian Eye, Dr. Sondashi also revealed that he has so far cured between 300 and 400 people who are now negative.

SF 2000 is real, Africans will only believe if it came from Europeans, Americans, Asians and Indians. But the most affected with HIV/AIDS are Africans than the others mentioned above.
Zambians lets rise and make good use of this opportunity and have our loved ones, and if possible lets use this SF 2000 within our country so that we prove to the rest of the world that cure can come from a country like ours.
Every sinlge person publicly known to have tried SF2000 is either dead or still HIV positive. This man is leading many to their deaths.

They doubt this cure yet they queue to the ng’angas. Ironic! He doesn’t need government, he can continue his tests in SA results which can lead to a manufactured drug. He can sign deals with SA manufacturers and get his drug on the market. SA is even a bigger market and they love african innovations.
All depending, of course, on truth of the claims to be established through stringent tests and trials. Another less onerous route, is to probably market it as a health supplement. Just needs deals with good manufacturers a marketing plan.

The Govt. needs to be cautious to release this information. In fact it is the medical council of Zambia that should be making a final announcement. not Sondashi.
We know that some people who were taking his medicine have died including the distributors who preached that it worked. People should be cautious. We know that most Zambians can easily be deceived hence the need for cautious approach to this information. If it is the same formulation that Sondashi has been distributing since the late 1990s we need more tests and efficacy results before anyone can make pronouncements and certainly it should not be Sondashi for obvious reasons.

It is about time his claims were taken seriously.
I may be wrong altogether about the Sondashi Formula.
But I have a friend who has full blown Aids which was almost taking his life. He has been on the formula for just over two months.
All his skin lesions are gone, body rash is gone, the cough is gone, his apetitite has increased, he now eats like a pig, and he has gone back to work after some absence of almost two months.
The man may still be sick but at least he can now afford a tie around his neck.
However what I am not sure about is whether Sondashi formula can cure AIDS.

I was told three months 3 months I wanna be cured. after 3 months we went to have my cd4 count and viral load check at Nkanza laboratories. my viral load tripled and my cd4 count dropped to 398. my doctor immediately put me on arvs and after three months I was undetectable and my cd4 went up to 830. since then I have been undetectable with cd4 count of always between 1400 and 1520. Sondish’s formular will not be accepted for the following reasons:
(i) HIV and AIDS counselling centres and other associated organisations such as ZANARA with Directors, coordinators will lose their jobs.Such organisation will never support such pronouncements because they are a threat to their existence.
(ii) Loss of western countries influence in africa on the support for HIV and AIDS. They have used this pandemic to exert their influence in Africa in the name of support.
(iii) Sondoshi would be the RICHEST man in the world because the whole world will look to him.
(iv) Companies manufacturing ARS will lose business. They can’t welcome such a move.

Sondashi you are misleading people. If you had a cure you would have been running for the hills by now. The pressure which would have mounted on you is an imaginable. Why you formula is not a cure;
1. all you clients only record a reduction of HIV load, implying the viruses are still in the body
2. You have failed to use the gold standard for testing absence of HIV which is PCR
3. You clinical trial is unehtical to say the least.

Researching and retailing a product at the same time is unethical. How does one sell a product when conclusions on the trial are not known. Yes, medicines are a gold mine, but ethics should still be followed. Sondashi, reflect on the number of people losing lives in the process of trying your product. One thing should be clear that everyone would like to have a cure to this disease, hence everyone is desperate for the cure, however, do not take people for granted.
People in higher offices are going round promoting vaccines for papiloma virus, male circumcision and ARVs because these are all western ideas. A brilliant idea from a son of our soil is trashed! Shows how little we believe in ourselves!
It is a long process before a drug can be allowed to be given to people(atleast 5 years).Though for research purposes(which is the clause am sure Sondashi is using to give out his drugs to patients) the duration can be shorter.The same can happen during a new disease outbreak where a drug can be used without it properly going through all the clinical testing stages.Those western drugs being promoted have been developed over a longer duration and a lot of papers on them have been written which is not the case in the sondashi formula.

Typical Zambians, you want to import everything because you have no confidence in yourselves. For so long the govts have been importing ARVs, they have not thought about producing them in the country or even partner with the companies producing them that they be produced locally. Dr Sondashi tries something and he is being bullied, this is so discouraging for many ventures amongst Zambians.
I agree with you 100%. Why is it that it is impossible to believe in our own innovations? As Africans we have been programmed to believe that all our herbal medicines are backward and not potent or some sort of black magic. We forget that the very ARVs being issued are synthetic form of these herbs. I have personally seen herbal pills from Uganda reverse opportunistic infections in HIv in record time. What we simply lack is the innovation to properly package our medicines and provide adequate, research backed insight to our products. Once we get that right, we will go along way to curing our ‘problems’

Dr Sondashi, any scientist, pharmacologist and Doctor worth his salt will tell you that for any drug to be accepted, it needs independent evaluation following these steps: (i) Theoretical hypothesis of (in vitro) mechanism of action (ii) Animal based (in vivo) trials for efficacy (effectiveness) and safety (iii) Human level testing should through Randomised Double Blinded Clinical Trials (you can google this!!) . RCTs can be in phase I (health individuals) phase II (check for toxicity) and phase III. Yaba…..this thing for me its confusing, panado does not and has never worked for me but most people it works….don’t know scientific reason but other medicines they ask for allergies before giving why while others take it so in short SR 2000 would have worked for others but others not….. True that!! SF2000 works for me. CD4 up from 750 to 1300 in just two months and I don’t even take it on a daily basis. All aches and pains have disappeared. Its just the attached cost – k200 a week.

Any well meaning person can google the internet and easily establish that there is NO KNOWN CURE in the World for HIV & Aids. So, the line of questions should be : – Has Dr Sondashi approached the supreme body in this area – United Nations World Health Organisation – with his findings? If not why not? If he has, what are they saying?

Sondashi formula is unknown cure for AIDS that’s why you cannot Google it. The best the government can do is to invest and study this formula.
How come those claiming to have been healed are only outside Lusaka, and far apart? Reminds me of some story about how miracles in certain churches work, whereby, some people arrange to act as those who receive miracles on tv. Why are we as Zambians always full of pessimism? Once there wer foreigners who had come with some medicine that could purportedly prevent the transmission of the HIV and many of our people ended up contracting the virus in Southern Province. The man’s claim is that you can be cured. Even if you do not get cured, you loose nothing in that you are already infected. I know that those who are most critical are the ones without this problem. Mr. Sondashi should be commended for having diversified from being a Lawyer into other areas of human survival where he has ventured in the exploration of medicinal plants. The World Health Organisation (WHO) does encourage such human endeavours; but expects specific protocols to be adhered to and the remedies should have passed laid-down tests before new medicinal molecules are administered to humans.
In this regard the relevant Ministry of Health must intervene to guide Mr. Sondashi on the limits of his herbal practices. He should be advised that active plant compounds can irreversibly damage the vital organs such the kidneys or liver – leading to deaths. Zambia is not immune to international regulatory norms.
CAUTION is, therefore, vital.

There are serious questions that should be addressed before the world believes Dr Sondashi and try his SF2000, such as;
1. What molecules are in SF2000 that kill the HIV virus?
2. How is the virus killed by SF2000?
3. Are there any ingredients in SF2000 that may pose toxicity to the human body in the long and short terms?
4. How long did clinical trials last?
5. How many people (by gender, age and race) were included in the those clinical trials?
6. Are the raw material for SF2000 readily available and sustainable?
Its not enough to say “something in me directed me to mix this and that” without credible experiments. In research audience such pronouncements are dismissed because they lack scientific evidence.

Just like driving the car, proving that 1 + 1 = 2, operating a crane and many other uncountable things were standardized by the Western world, drug development has also been standardized by the West. Zambians do not need to waste time on re-inventing the wheel. There are young Zambian scientists currently running clinical trials in malaria prevention during pregnancy using herbs…herbs that have already been proved to contain Artemisinin…a proven plasmodium killing substance safe even in the human body. What substances are in SF2000 that can warrant it’s development into a cure for HIV? What we are saying is that when something like this comes out we need to be cautious. So that the necessary tests can be conducted before people can announce that it is effective. Under normal circumstances the medical council conducts medical research over a period of time. We do not accept something just because the white man will jump on it. Advice to sondashi. Classify SF 2000 as a vitamin supplement and not a drug so that it is not subjected to all that length approval stages. Buy machine for CD count, HIV load, pcr.
