Bible Gospel Church In Africa-BIGOCA-overseer Peter Ndhlovu has called on stakeholders that will be attending the constitution Indaba not to go with preconceived minds.

Bishop Ndhlovu says if stakeholders go to the indaba with preconceived minds it will be impossible to have meaningful dialogue.

He says both the executive and opposition political parties must realize that the reason for meeting is to reach consensus on the constitution making process.

Bishop Ndhlovu says the church is supportive of the indaba as it will help bridge peace in the year Zambia is celebrating Independence jubilee.

He says the platform to dialogue on the constitution should be taken seriously by all stakeholders as the process has a capacity to reduce the tension on the constitution making process.

Bishop Ndhlovu also says all stakeholders invited must ensure that they attend the meeting.

And the Grand coalition on the constitution making process has welcomed the initiative by SACCOD to call for an indaba between government and opposition political parties on the constitution.

Coalition spokesperson Macdonald Chipenzi says the coalition will support all efforts meant to ensure that Zambians are given a clear roadmap on the constitution making process.

    • Yes Bishop Ndhlovu is refering to Kabimba who goes with charms in parliament. I hope Pastor Pule will be present as well to cast on Kabimba’s hyena tail “Fire impact!!”.

    • Ladies and gentlemen, please help me. Why do ZNBC, LT, and other news outlets call a meeting an INDABA. Is Indaba an English word? The word sounds more like a derivative from Isizulu/Isindebele for a caucus where issues (izindaba) are discussed. I am a bit behind on this and Indaba may appear in the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary but if not, why not just call it Mukopano, Imuswaangano, Msonkano or some such other Zambian word?

      Like reading, the Mukopano/Muswaangano/Msonkano to discuss the Constitution is …..30th April 2014.

    • Pre-conceived ideas includes expecting huge sitting allowances from constitutional talks to be deliberately prolonged to raise huge funds for delegates. This Indaba should be precise and concise just to bring forth solutions not debating issues.Freedom fighters who brought the independence which jubilee we are celebrating this year were patriotic enough that they were ready to sacrifice and even shed blood than to expect allowances.

  1. Well bishop. for as long as there will not be too many u5s with the focus on 50+1 dreams jst to scoop a Pm post

  2. You think all Zambians are your SHEEP? The only thing we want is our draft constitution, nothing to do with you or your bibles Bishop.
    Our train is a Peace & Love train and it has arrived!
    Peace and Love be upon all Zambians all over the world.

  3. this Bishop is in dream land, attendees have the people’s agenda to worry about than just attending for the sake of attending, the process ended a long time ago, people want good answers not the blah, blah we are getting from government even a grade 3 can tell something is not right, the process ended a long time, now hand over is also taking long when the hardest part has been done, what’s the hold-up

  4. The PF want an excuse to delay the constitution process further or even abort it. By the stakeholders agreeing to negotiate when there is no basis for that just gives the PF the ammunition they need to do what they want.

    What the stakeholders should have continued doing was to do demonstrate and push the PF to exhaust the current roadmap before agreeing to negotiate anything. Sometimes it better to know what you want in a situation, you will waste all efforts but have no work done.

  5. For all those who know the “kaponyanic” nature of Ukwa Zondwa CNP, it’s clear this meeting will come to nothing. This will just be a window dressing opportunity for him to smear stinking masipa ni miluto (faeces and urine) in the faces of the opposition and later claim they agreed on whatever constitution he comes up with. I have never seen such a lying, tribalistic and stupid SOB.

  6. Bishop,
    Zambians who own the country and the money (Taxpayers) want to govern themselves using the law of the land that is in their best interest and therefore demand for a people driven constitution now not later when a corrupt and incompetent PF government wants. We are in a hurry to stop corruption and develop the nation through good governance provided for by a people driven constitution. So if you think the representatives of the masses will attend so that a corrupt regime which is only surviving in power due to the current useless constitution, you are in for a shock. They are going there to demand that the government puts down a road map backed by law to usher in a people driven constitution by 2016 elections. After 2016 elections we do not want to have a govt led by a party in pow

    • After 2016 elections we do not want to have a govt led by a party in power for play. We want serious development through prudent governance of our resources. The PF govt should not be paranoid and only look at their need to remain in power and embezzle more just for their few families among a sea of poverty stricken Zambians. Whether it is HH or Nevers Mumba or any other who will take over if PF is out come 2016, we want guarantee through a people driven constitution that we will be governed properly the way we want. It is not a request which should be given to us through a favour from the PF but a demand that should be obeyed now, otherwise No Constitution, No PF in govt in 2016 and forward.

    • So we are saying our representatives must go there prepared for any tricks the govt will go there with. We already know them, such as
      1. Chiefs are not happy with the cluase about the president being the custodian of the land;
      2. We need a census before a referendum and there is no time for that;
      3. The govt doesn’t have money for a census and referendum;
      4. etc.

      Please prepare.

  7. Bravo!!! As a precaution, it is also helpful to allow government to enjoy privilege of governance. If government is treated as an appendage to national development dialogue, then that spells doom for the country. This is a matter of honor and integrity. There should be no room for demagoguery of any sort.

  8. Warlord above here is a secret I would like to let you in. East and Southern Africa where supposed to have had two languages, Swahili and Chilapalapa, whereas Swazili took root, Chilapalapa failed to spread. Chilapalapa was meant for Southern Africa and Swahili for Eastern Africa. The idea of the colonialists was not have any tribal language dominate in any one area. This created unity of purpose. Swahili does not belong to any tribe and so was Chilapalapa. For Zambians, it may be important to know that such words like pikinini, manje, Indaba etc are lapalapa words. Chilapalapa or lapalapa drew a lot from Zulu (Ciswati, Ndebele, Ngoni), sotho (Tswana, Lozi). I need another paper to explain why Chilapalapa failed to take root while Swahili flourished.

  9. @secret out.
    chilapalapa is a result of afrikaanas failing to speak zulu as zulus cudnt speak English forcing boers to speak broken zulu like MINAS BULALA LO or MINA NINKA MALI KA WENA etc
