  1. No mention of meeting President Sata sure, awe mwe. At least they should allow him to pay his last respect to our once mighty DEAD cobra.

    • Its so sad that head of states are not offered dinner at state house. Chissano deserves a huge dinner party with all diplomats invited, and Sata gives a powerful speech. Now state house is an out-patient.

    • Well, well, Chisano’s itinerary misses out a meeting with Sata because SATA is dead but hooked to a machine in Israel.

  2. Aaaarrrrhhhh!!!! It’s now three years down the line without a sitting president visiting Zambia – of course with the exception of the hated Robert Mugabe. Sata please improve your image and social skills, stop hibernating!

    • @Suntwe you are saying just the opposite. Since Sata took over we have seen, The princess of Wales from England, Chinese VEEP, Robert Mugabe, UN Secretary General, George Bush, USA vice president’s wife, the list is endless. Sata is well known abroad than any other politician in Zambia.

    • @The One
The list you’ve given is NOT of SITTING PRESIDENTS! How can i say this better? People who are currently ruling their countries, except Mugabe, of course.

    • @Suntwe

Even Mugabe was arm twisted to come to ZED because of the tourism conference. Otherwise Mugabe doubts Sata ‘s calibre for appointing Muzungu Opuusa as vice president. It not that Sata did a bad thing to appoint a Muzungu as vice president, but he flouted the constitution as muzungu can’t act as president on top of being stupid.

    • It’s not Princess of Wales. It’s Princess Royal who visited Zambia. Princess of Wales is wife to Prince Charles

  3. Look at Chissano he is 74 years old. Ba Sata is 76 yrs old. But please compare how both are looking today. Ba Sata is indeed not well, may God give him another 20 years, so he can witness development under UPND?

  4. Nostradamus, this is an old picture of former president Chissano when he was about 60 years old?Wait for the ones which will be taken when he comes to Lusaka.

  5. …what an admirable profile….such profiles eluded us(Zambians) in the name of KK, RB….but that’s what we expect to read about MCS in 8 years time.

    • How can the rest of the world respect people like KK and RB when after leaving office we tramped up charges [including that KK stole books from State House] and then persecute them?

Those of us who have followed the history of Mozambique know that Chisanno could easily have been prosecuted for various failings, but those who came after him in the leadership of Moz had other more pressing national interests and branding as priorities and not vengeance and retribution.

  6. Sata is finished, he is even shunned by a retired president. The PF has tarnished Zambia’s image globally and a serious soul searching needs to be done.

  7. The drought of presidential visits continues as every leader is scared stiff of being seen associating with a clueless kaponya president.
