Movement for Multiparty Democracy (MMD) aspiring Presidential Candidate Rupiah Banda was granted an audience with Sheikh Assadullah Mwale The Grand Mufti of Zambia yesterday.
The Grand Mufti, which is the highest hierarchy in the Islamic community in Zambia, welcomed former President Banda to their headquarters in Chibolya on Tuesday, where the two discussed the importance of peace among Zambia’s various religious communities.
The Grand Mufti expressed optimism that former President Banda is the one who can unite the country in peaceful coexistence. In reply President Banda assured the Grand Mufti that he will always pray for Zambia to remain peaceful and united regardless of race and religious affiliation.
We have seen what Muslims do in other countries,is that the nonsense RB wants to endorse? Not all Muslims are terrorists but all terrorists are Muslim. I think RB has lost it! Keep him far away from the reigns of power.
With due respect to the Mufti, we all know that most Zambian Muslims are easterners. In fact in vernacular we call Muslims, “Abachawa”.
So can’t be surprised if the Mufti is RB’s relative. “Wako no wako”

The comments by the young men of Zambia above are hollow and shocking. Is that the kind of intellect that we can entrust the reigns of power to? No wonder we still need older men to lead us. But then we know the young men that we are talking about. Their language is unmistakable, it is that language of a group of people who are scared that they may not make it after all, so they must use all tricks and insults in the book to disparage formidable opponents like RB.
