The Patriotic Front’s rally scheduled for Lusaka’s Mandevu Township will go on as earlier on announced.

There has been fears that the weather conditions in Lusaka would lead to cancellation of widely anticipated gathering.

It has however been announced the rally which is set to be addressed by Defence Minister Edgar Lungu, the party’s flag bearer in the forth coming Presidential elections will proceed as planned and is set to kick off at 14:30 hrs.

Lusaka has been hit by heavy rains that have caused extensive floods across the city.

    • Perennial problem. Perhaps the MDG/US plan will eventually eradicate the problem. They’ve certainly dug up most of Lusaka in preparation. No excuse for not taking care of the annual disaster by being fully prepared though.

    • @ mwasanga absolutely right. Serious attitude problems. Even where there are bins they still litter. Bwafya. Soon it will be cholera. Shame on us for failing to keep our surroundings clean. Look at those floods you’d think it was a river in the streets.

Any hope pabwato sails on the floods since #FlightHH2015 is in the air.

    • @Robin u know that street vending is a controversial topic.
Solutions will be put forward to address cleanliness in the city.

But as you know flood affect most parts of the world even those with so called good drainage systems.

    • @Robin

You are just condemning HH on street vendors while not telling us how and the PF will address this scourge. PF ‘s plan is to hire South African company to provide advise on how to deal with street vending and yet its rife in Joburg.

HH has a plan and you know it. He will allocate them a place and build them good decent structures for them to do business in before relocating them.

Lusaka and major cities in Zambia need proper huge sewer systems to be built underground to collect all dirty water and take it to a water purification plant before discharging it into streams and rivers.

    • The heavens have said no to PF just like in kitwe. No more bufi.

Surely, this is a clear sign of extreme poor planing. The whole PF failed to consult meteorological department to give them a weather forecast for Monday. Or can I say its non existence under PF because its completely run down?

Weather prediction is key to economic activity and profitability of any company. It needs to be taken serious and more money needs to be invested in revamping weather prediction stations.

PF is at a loss here because of poor planning . It should not blame the rains.

    • RB is the obvious choice for 2015. Bring back planned development and not haphazard roads that will be difficult to maintain and borrowed money becoming a noose on our children’s necks.

    • Mean while in Chinsali women lay down and HH walked over them as a sign of respect only accorded to chiefs. I have never seen one like that before. Its my first, ha !

It just shows how sick and tired people are with PF. chinsali

Northern, Luapula and Muchinga have said yes to HH for sure.

Those in doubt check the pictures on LT, now beginning to be a fairer paper after exposing them.

    • Lungu’s rally has a serious crowd…I wonder what ZWD will report…probably that those attending were brought in from different parts of the country.

    • Mwansanga
That’s a very good point my dear friend . Even simple hygiene goes a long way. .as Zambians we all need to work together and try to keep our beloved country instead of pointing fingers and blaming the government. It all starts with one discarded box of chibuku or nsele ya mango and then it piles up .So let’s think before throwing litter on the streets or the sidewalk.

      Meanwhile Mandevu is on fire…..

      2015 vote PF ( Edgar )

      I thank you

  1. What is this I hear about Zambia?people eating crocodile meat, people drinking elephant milk, giving mines to the Chinese. Why are Zambians lazy.Zambia, now I know I was right to leave.

    • You are just slave wherever you are. And who cres anyway? You will have a heart attack to see how strong native Zambians are making it really in ZED. At least we are amassing property in our homeland and not sweeping streets for your masters!

      Viva Lungu viva PF

    • Good you left aZulu. Ise lomba tapeza mpata ochit zintu zambili kaili imwe munati siyilako malo. You must be ashamed of yourself. Come back to Zambia your grandmother needs your help she is starving. SHAH!!!

    • Zambia is a Christian Nation and therefore can not vote for a Muslim in the name of Edger Malawian Lungu to be president. We are warning pantu ta mumfwa Lungu will bring bad lucky to Zambia again. We are tired of state funerals.

  2. ubufontininess!! first they complain about the water table declining and now water is wasted because of the lousy planning laws. All this water needs to be captured and channelled in to reservoirs. A phenomenon that occurs every year. You would think they would learn a lesson by now. It’s always someone else’s problem, if the people responsible for making sure we have a vibrant city are incapable then fire them so others can have a go. LCC is the most useless council when it comes to planning and implementing.

  3. We need to take the next government to task over the rule of law and enforcement.

For goodness’ sake, we are in the 21st Century, and we are as untidy as can be.

    • how will u take next government to task? President has absolute power. He is God on earth. Keep dreaming. they are all the same. Thieves, plunderers, womanisers, pseudo Christians, lusty, leeches, parasites, greedy, satans, devils, demons. Show me one honest politician in Zambia. Zambia needs to be colonised, may be this time by the Chinese or Russians.

  4. lives matter if HH goes thru Bembas will be wiped out and RB will wipe out all the lozis lets protect these pipo as they did not chose to be Bembas and lozis. your vote will save these lives so vote to defend humankind

    • I know a doctor who treats conditions like the one you’re displaying. Personally I recommend WATER. Lots of it. Chuckle.

    • @Monde crooked ,dirt minded monde.Leave HH a lone your tactics will not wake .many Zambians have come to know the truth that the tribal tug was meant to frighten Zambians from voting for HH when in fact HH is a very civilized person.HH has Bemba sisters in law, nephews.nieces, and brothers in laws.So fellow Zambians never listen to tribalists like monde.

  5. Problem is of our own making, we have become worse than animals, pee & shit anywhere, litter anyhow we want. Even an affluent ***** driving a nice expensive car throws litter out of the window, it all ends up in the drains. No one to blame but us all. And that under 5, HH, wants to promote street vending & lawless cabbies, maybe in Tongaland.

    • Ah I get it. You’re saying their message today will be watered down… washed ashore… floated around the city (as pictured above) and ED will be wet faced (as rumoured). Got it. Chuckle.

  6. Mr Zulu, shut your mouth up and stop insulting the people back home in Zambia. After all you are just a useless illegal immigrant in the US, sorry an alien. I am doing extremely well and I am proud to be Zambian in the diaspora this cannot make me to insult the people home. Who knows may be you are just sweeping the toilets or cleaning tables in restaurants. Please shut up, many people in Zambia are driving better cars and are staying in better houses than you are.

  7. Rains or no rains, PF continues to sail while some flights are struggling to land. I would rather be in Noah’s boat than cycling in the air endlessly for years until fuel runs out and what a thud when it crushes.

    • Unless you’re family, Noah was only allowed to take in animals 2 by 2 (caterpillar by 2) but coming to think of it, God sent the water down to rid the earth of mankind for a reason… on the other hand looks like we share an ancestor, cuz. Chuckle.

  8. With all the rubbish/flooding I have seen in on-line tabloids today, I feel duty bound to return to Zambia and this is what I want to do upon return…

I shall put up a company primarily dealing in RUBBISH. I will be the the C.E.O and Managing Director of RUBBISH. All I will do is ask every Zambian kaponya to bring me 50kg bags of assorted RUBBISH at any one time and I will pay them in return; K20 per bag. I am certain by the end of the year 2015, there will be NO RUBBISH in Zambia in fact, I shall have to alert the Zambian Police Service to be on the lookout for would-be THIEVES of RUBBISH because, buying RUBBISH from Zambian nationals will be such a lucrative business and as a result, most Kaponyas will find it hard to find RUBBISH hence, will resort to stealing other peoples…

    • I hope you do a RUBBISH job! 300 green arrows for your RUBBISH idea. We will write RUBBISH songs in your honour and change our RUBBISH cities in to RUBBISH Ltd success stories. You make me want to stop writing RUBBISH and clean up my blogging as I am doing nothing but making mud pies with my free time today. Chuckle.

  9. ….Eventually I will sell the same RUBBISH by way of re-cycling to GRZ for even more Kwacha because; I will be doing them a favour/service. How can a country claim they are independent 50 years on yet, it’s like there’s no Government? Is this normal really? What has happened to thousands of our prisoners that are locked up in Zambia’s Prisons everyday with so-called Hard Labour? Why can’t the Prison service work in conjunction with the Local Councils and engage Prisoners to clean up Zambia (for a fee of course) to prop-up their coffers and vice-versa? So you see now why CHINESE and other foreign nationals are coming to Zambia because they can see money lying around.

    • The PF promised to solve this problem of RUBBISH but they have failed lamentably. Why vote them back into power? They have failed to solve such a simple problem. The longer they stay in power the dirtier our cities and towns will become. Masebo cleaned up livingstone but she was fired for doing that, what kind of government is this?

  10. Why does hh keep saying he will finish pf prjectss. Why cant he let the ownwers finish the projects. He wants to reap where he did not sow . He has been a critic of pf. Let him give us his vision mambala

  11. UPND has no story for Zambians. We have heard all about these cheap lies and nonses and no one can buy them! What’s your vision by the way? PF’s is ver clear indeed.

  12. Ba Mwape, thumps up, well said, please pass this message to HH, he will do just that, try to write to him, and see how you can make it work. We need people like you, who talk sense.

  13. UPND rally failed lamentably yesterday in Chawama! Some woman speaker abandoned her speech due to chants of pa bwato pa bwato from the mainly children in attendance.
The woman (called Mutinta) used Tongash English and was forced to leave. Is that HH’s wife? No wonder!

    • @Sailors you are a liar .HH’s wife Mutinta went to address fellow women belonging to UPND women league and not a rally. After all those silly children are not voters and have no voters cards.Mutinta can speak English withTonga accent its nomal she is not white,as long as it is correct .You tribalists in LSK you will be ashamed as HH will get more votes from Northern provinces,Bembas are good people.south Africans and Zimbabweans have the same accent to Tongas and yet you don’t lough at them.shame on you.VIVA HH,by the way did you our nice bus.

  14. If PF wants to win this by election Lungu should be given a crash course in public speaking and focusing on real issues. Or Lungu’s team should tell him what to say. Today he spoke for less than 20 minutes- attacking MMD, UPND, Miles & Mmembe.

He also need to know that in management and administration there is what is called collective responsibility. Scott signed the bill to adjust the retirement age upward on behalf of cabinet/Govt as justified by Dr Ronald Msiska. Then why opposse Scott at a public rally?

  15. Hey Mandevu PF rally was massive!i wonder how the Post(devil) and ZWD will report!despite early rains PF lovers came in large numbers!congrats to all PF who attended this huge rally!hope supreme court judges watched and noticed how popular Edgar Lungu is!viva PF viva EL!

    • Eddy
Unbelievable. …with all the flooding and the heavy rains. …this should send a clear message to Rupiah Banda coz HH is not a factor in these elections.

      2015 vote PF ( Edgar )

      I thank you

  16. Massive indeed with pockets of MMD & UPND supporters waving their party symbols. Lungu should not wash dirty linen (e.g. Retirement age approved by Scott and justified by Dr. Msiska) in public. As a member of cabinet Lungu agreed to adjust the retirement age. He also needs to talk more on what PF will do and how this will benefit Zambians without sounding vindicative. I like Esther, she is a better speaker than Lungu!

  17. Normal reasoning Zambians should realize that PF has always been & will always be a party of tribalism, nepotism, rascalism, violence, lumpens, scums, thieves, lawlessness, retrogression, & economic prostitution. As clearly evident from the recent happenings, this is a party that cannot even uphold its own constitution. Contrary to normal expectations, the party instead promotes & condones violence & lumpenism. Surely, how can you entrust a pack of jackals like PF to rule & run the affairs of mother Zambia. Hopefully, Zambians will vote sensibly come Jan 20 2015 & salvage Zambia from these rascals and jackals!

  18. I can see PF bloggers trying hard to paint a picture as if they are strong on the ground. When you go on the ground nobody talks PF except the paid cadres. Let us agree now, after jan 20 no malilisho please

    • Chimwala

Edgar Lungu is the incoming President of Zambia. …can’t you see the writing on the wall?

      I thank you
