watching the Under 23 play, I was not impressed. they stand no chance against camerron, its the same old story.
GROUP B final standings P W D L F A Pts Guinea 3 2 1 0 6 4 7 Zambia 3 1 2 0 5 3 5 Algeria 3 1 1 1 4 4 4 Egypt 3 0 0 3 4 8 0 SO FAR WE ARE UNBEATEN, GOOD LUCK ZAMBIA IN THE SEMI FINAL MATCH AGAINST THE INDOMIDABLE LIONS. WE WERE VERY LUCKY IN THE GAME AGAINST ALGERIA TO EQUALISE AFTER 90MINS.
Luck! Luck! luck! Please be with us as we try to beat these Cameroun cubs!
Soccer is not all about luck these days. You have to be prepared physically, mentally etc. Your coaches must also plan the strategy to be used meaning they also need to know more about the opponents. Just having talent which is not properly harnessed doesn’t buy it.
I don’t know what to say about Zambian football. If you want to have heart attack, continue watching them. ZCCM as gone with soccer. For as long as we do not have Kalampa as champions, will continue crying. And you know what that means. Good luck for those who still believe in MMD.
Chips i think you should give a benefit of a doubt to our young guns.I can assume you have not watched Cameroon either. We seem to be on the right track so far i think we can pull it off
Guys lets give these boys a chance they can surely pull it off.Cameroon is a good side but they are beatable.Chimwemwe is right lets give the boys a benifit of doubt. The only sad thing is if we lose to Cameroon we would have lost 3 times to the same team in the same competion in 3 All Afr. Games. That’s why i beleive Zambia will win this time.We just have to contain the Cameroon No.8 he’s been in scintillating form.Hes the guy that scored 2 goals in Cameroon’s last triumph over South Africa.I watched him play in the 8 Nations U-23 Tournament in SA about 3 weeks ago.
# 5 Matthews Silavwe, atishani mwana Nchanga. You Know me from there.
Back to soccer, I think on paper Zambia Vs Cameroon is 60/40 in favour of Cammeroon but its not always the case that the better team on paper carries the day.Who thought Brazil could wallop Argentina 3-0 in the Copa America finals.
Lets rally behind our boys for they have not come this far by fluke. They earned their place in the semis and they deserve some respect. Lucky is not the word here as we have come this far because we planned for the downfall of our opponents.
Zedians, be pround of your own for the once. How many teams in Africa could have loved to be in our position at these games.
We should have confidence in our abilities and not always admire others who we can never be.
Wake up and go Zambia.
If Zambia is going to gundown the indomitable lions this time, definately the’re going to carry a day in the finals.
I really sympathise with those who think Zambia will go all thee way in this tournament. I am saying this going by past performances. How long are we going to say we could have won that game, good luck next time. Its too much now. As much as I would like them to win, I also feel that we have a big problem in Zambia as far as sport (not only soccer) is concerned. The problem is complicated, ranging from lack of good sponsorship from govt and the private sector, lack of modern sports facilities , to poverty stricken players (sports men and women) who after have tested a bit of success they become content and get finished. Lack of die hard attitude and confidence on players also has an impact on lack of success in Zambian sports. An unexpected victory by the U-23 agaist Cameroun will be highly appreciated.
all i can say is that, lets give the zambian lads a chance. there’s always a chance that we can outplay cameroun and eventully win the match and the gold. i bet its just our time.
Things are bad but Zambia will win the so called cameroun wont do anything lack!!!!zambia
I can only congratulates the lads for the splendid performance they had put up against algeria. And implore you boys go for the ‘GOLD’ and makes us proud for once atleast.
